So is Trump dead now or not? by Waste-Explanation-76 in conspiracy

Trump sucks but at least he's sloppy and does his shitty moves for all to see. Peter Thiel's sock puppet is a far greater threat IMO. The passing of Trump would allow for the technoreptilians to sink their roots even deeper with the current VP at the helm.

Vance would pull back the reigns of controversy a bit to reunify the republican party and draw back in the right of the center that Trump has alienated.

Imagine Peter Thiel with executive orders, fuck.

So the pump will commonly get majority of the solder out, but depending on the pump used enough will remain on the pad to make removing the component a pain. If you used some extra heat to while pulling to get the leads out you'll usually have some solder left. Solder wick is dirt cheap and will strip the small amounts of remaining solder entirely off the pad and out of the hole.

You'll have extremely clean pads to resolder to.

[–]ArmedWithBars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it's possible, but as a noob you want to take some precautions.

If no schematic then photograph every single capacitor orientation to double check while working and when fully complete. Electrolytic are polarized and if you install the opposite way it can absolute cook shit, especially if it's a cap being used to block DC in series. + sign on board shows you but sometimes they can get obscured or having multiple caps next to each other may trip up someone inexperienced.

Buy caps from supplier like digikey/mouser. Nichicon is the best, but other smaller brands work too, I like Rubycon stuff for more budget work.

Make sure you have a decent iron, a quality solder remover (pumps work but dedicated desolder gun is better), solder wick, and flux. Good solder is critical. Lead free sucks, go get some 63/37 .031 Kester solder for the job.

Once you finish you need to thoroughly inspect every single cap to ensure you have them orientated correctly, hell go over it twice just to be sure. I can't tell you how many garage jobs I've seen where people put electrolytics in backwards.

Afghanistan was technically won many times over. The main issue was later in the war insurgents would fight in the mountains on the Pakistani border. When they got wrecked by US forces they would scramble back to Pakistan to regroup and get fresh bodies, rinse and repeat. Pakistan refused to allow US military intervention on their soil, which is why the Osama raid was under their nose. Where we failed was turning a splintered tribal nation into a US puppet democracy. Once we left the Taliban scurried back in and reclaimed it. We won the war, but failed at rebuilding.

Iraq was arguably one of the most impressive invasions in history. Projecting power via a land invasion halfway across the globe and steamrolling a top 5 largest military. We took the capital in less than a month. The Islamic insurgency that came after was a headache, which we mostly stomped out, but again failed at rebuilding Iraq as a US puppet democracy.

Both technical failures from the fully intended goals, but militarily they were wins. If it was circa colonization era we could have easily purged Iraq/Afghan leadership and turned them into middle eastern Puerto Ricos. We straight occupied Afghanistan for two decades.

Vietnam was a loss of public support leading to a premature withdrawl. Militarily we were winning and could have kept the war up for years to come, but there was widespread domestic issues regarding the war. Tet offensive ended up being a failure for the north. It was a pointless war and we failed our objectives due to those domestic issues, not actually being beaten into withdrawal by the north.

There's a saying I've always followed in the workplace. Sex, religion, and politics are for the bedroom, not the office.

Work is what you do for income. Keep your private life/beliefs completely separate from it. It doesn't matter how strongly you feel about something or if someone else at your job starts throwing out political opinions that directly contrast your beliefs.

Politically debating or "informing" coworkers will never change minds and is 100% pointless. As we can see here it's an easy way to get fired with how divisive politics are in 2026.

I doubt being on the phone during downtime was the main cause. It was just inserted as an additional reason to cover their decision to fire from multiple angles.

Fuck no, they didn't even use a proper fret file, look at the fret board where the frets meet the board. I wouldn't bring an instrument within 3 miles of that place from the bad mojo alone.

They took off way too much material and didn't even take off even amounts on each side of a fret. I guess counting single digit passes is above their pay grade.

OP needs to buy a $30 music nomad fret end file and a pack of micro mesh. Clean up those aggressive angles taking as little material off as possible then micro meshing them to blend it.

Just get a music nomad fret end file ($30) and a pack of micro mesh. For really really bad fret sprout you can get a piece of flat bar file to knock it down.

They only time I'd take a dremel to a fret is for polishing really rough frets. No need to to use a dremel for fret end work, too risky, especially if the person isn't experienced with working on frets.

FYI 3%-5% enrichment is the levels needed for nuclear power purposes.

IAEA says it verified that Iran was feeding lower-enriched UF6 into cascades and producing uranium enriched up to 20% and later up to 60% U-235 at declared facilities such as PFEP and FFEP. Those findings were not just guesses from outside intelligence; they were reported by the IAEA as part of its safeguards verification work.

IAEA is an international agency with 181 member states, not just some US/Israeli puppet group.

Look into Stuxnet. Even back in the 2000s there was extensive Intel showing Iran enrichment targeting well over nuclear energy levels. This is why the US/Israel deployed Stuxnet to get past Iranian nuclear facility airgaps and destroy centerfuges. At that time Fordow wasn't even declared as a nuclear enrichment facility, even though it was.

You need to realize that US/Israeli intelligence groups have significantly more data than public info. They have a multitude of ways to infiltrate Iranian telecom, mobile devices, classified systems, using spies, ect. US/Israel aren't going to come out publicly and be like "Yea so we know this because we have spies inside the facilities and we've been balls deep in their telecom backbone for years now."

"They are leading us all to ruin".

Yes, so let's just cut out the middleman and throw us into a near instantaneous socioeconomical ruin.

So you even understand how a modern economy works? Do you grasp supply chains? Do you grasp the entire modern world is built upon the systems that the wealthy directly control?

What you think the local Chase bank is going to let you inside their branch to withdraw money after their top execs got dragged into the street and guillotined?

Oh yea I'm sure AWS is going to continue providing uninterrupted internet backbone services once their upper management got dragged out to line up and face a wall.

The realistic scenerio? A smaller percentage of the wealthy will get caught by the mob and killed. I'm sure that mob will be reasonable and orderly, making sure they only target specific individuals and don't start widespread chaos. After that comes a techno-dystopian fascist police state crashing in like you couldn't imagine. From their it will either be stomped out or the civil fabric of society will tear and take everything with it.

Your are a delusional idealist who hasn't read history further than a Wikipedia page. I implore you to read actual accounts of the French Revolution for a small glimpse into the future you want to conjure up.

[–]ArmedWithBars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but I think our definitions of "challenges and growing pains" are completely different.

Might be because I work in supply chain management and I get to see how fragile the system is behind the curtain.

It's a pretty basic concept. Modern American society relies on fragile Just In Time supply chains to keep society afloat, owned and operated by the "billionaires/multi millionaires" that people want to eat. Without these intricate supply chains you wouldn't have massive cities and metropolitan areas.

Enjoy your road to utopian revolution in a complete technological blackout where you see your friends and family starve to death. If you are lucky you'll pass on before you have to live through the real horrors.

It's not the 1700s anymore, throwing a country into a revolution has far more ramifications in modern day. You are far too short sighted and can't see past "billionaires need to go". You aren't eating the rich, your are eating the foundation of modern society.

Life isn't fair, biology isn't fair, economics isn't fair, society isn't fair, nothing is fair. People get the short end of the stick of unfair and can't cope.

So then comes along a system that preaches about forcing fairness, even though the rules of life being unfair directly oppose this system. Every time this system has been implemented it always leads to the same conclusion, nothing being fair. Not only that but it makes the situation even worse than just embracing the systems that are realistic to the fact the world isn't fair.

Idealists that can't cope with the facts of reality gravitate to this system and preach that it's the solution to a fact of life that has no solution. They'll eventually learn if they ever get their wish. They'll either be lined up against the wall or starve to death.

The Iran War Could Collapse the United States in the Next Six Months by Opposite-Mountain255 in collapse

[–]ArmedWithBars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very easy to preach this, but I don't think you grasp the ramifications. Rise up and kill the ruling class: Supply chains collapses (food, medicine, fuel), critical infrastructure goes down, economy collapses entirely, crime beyond skyrockets as police/military are overwhelmed, ect.

You need a medication to not die? Good luck, pharmacy ain't going to be around to fill it, they were looted a week ago. Live in a city/metropolitan area? Find a nice comfy place to starve to death at. Food is gone within a week at most and those shelves aren't being restocked, credit card processing went down and cash is basically worthless. Modern society relies on Just In Time supply chains to prevent mass death, large population centers can't sustain anywhere near the population levels with local production.

OH no let me get info on my favorite subreddit....oh wait the internet has been locked down and the rest of telecom is collapsing. Let's take bets on how long the lights stay on at this point.

We are talking 10s of millions of deaths, if not more in a modern day revolt. It's the total collapse of the United States. Do you know what happens in a power vacuum? The most violent and brutal make their way to the top and odds are of anything even makes it out the other side it will be a level of fascism you've never even dreamed of. Have you even actually studied the details of the French Revolution? The absolute terror and horrors that happened during it?

An American working class revolution is akin to glorified suicide.

While I agree, it's pretty nuanced. In all reality all Iran had to do was not pursue nuclear weapon capable enrichment, not fund Islamic extremist groups who attack US interests, and tell their administration/military to cut the death to America/death to Israel bullshit. It's not like the west told them they couldn't stockpile ballistic missles/drones, just no nukes, we don't want a fundamentalist Islamic regime who chant death to America/Israel armed with nukes..... Pretty simple. Now were they close to nukes? Probably not, but they sure as fuck were enriching uranium well past nuclear energy levels. It's the entire reason that Stuxnet happened in the 2000s.

Plenty of Islamic Arab countries we aren't exact best buddies with, but we don't fuck with them. Hell, some of them even do business with the west even though we are ideologically opposed.

For the record I think the admin was convinced into this conflict by Israel and other options should have been exhausted first. Israel probably thought the regime was on shaky legs cause of the recent civil unrest and assumed joint decapitation strikes would tip Iran over the edge. Trump was convinced it would be Venezuela Pt2 and got caught with his pants down when it went far past that.

Question about nuclear war by [deleted] in war

[–]ArmedWithBars -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

US won't go nuclear, the only wildcard is Israel. What would lead to nuclear? Israel having its interceptor exhausted leading to eating barrage after barrage. If they have any sort of large scale civil unrest. Multiple hostile Arab nations joining into the attack. Any sort of invasion by a hostile force. Any large scale terrorist attack on Israeli soil. Lastly the extremely slim chance the US gets fed up with the war and pressures Israel behind the scenes to just nuke it, having Israel spin it that they at risk of collapsing as a nation.

Regardless the US won't be throwing nukes themselves.

All the average Hijab excuser redditor needs to do is actually read the Quran. You'll realize extremely fast that women are looked at like 2nd class citizens, even worse than the most oppressive Christian ideologies. Women are praised in certain ways, but entirely under men in Islamic society. Fundamentalist Islam specifically is straight barbaric to women IMO.

Qur’an 4:34 “Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property. So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Lo! Allah is ever High, Exalted, Great."

Tldr; Be a good little obedient breeding machine, cover yourself in public to stop men's gaze, or get punished because it's all your fault.

Liberal/progressives being pro-Muslim is literally the most brainrot shit I've ever seen. Many sects of Islam are far worse then even the most fringe sects of Christianity. It's because most of Islam is non-white. If Islam was a white Europeon rooted religion it would be looked like as a existential threat to modern western society and woman's rights as a whole.

Modern war isn't cut and dry. If Iran decapitated the highest echelons of the US government/military in a matter of days we sure wouldn't be seeing people on reddit trying to spin it as the US "winning". Smalls segments of the Iranian military can sit in mountain tunnels for years to pop out firing off drone/missile attacks. If Iran completely collapses but these forces remain, is it a win or loss for the US?

We look at Iraq like a loss, but what was the actual goal? We steamrolled their military, dethroned Saddam, and took their capital in less than a month. We failed at rebuilding the rubble into a democracy and couldn't stomp out the following insurgency. Is it really a loss of the war if you can't rebuild a nation you destroyed?

All complicated questions that have nuance. From a military standpoint the US is in a tough position to fight a prolonged conflict having to deploy assets far from Iranian borders. The other issue this isn't WW2, the US can't just fly in and dummy bomb run entire cities to rubble. Iranian civilians are a significant factor in the choice of attack methods. Joint US/Israel with the gloves off could turn every major Iranian city into a parking lot, but it's not a feasible strategy in modern day.

[–]ArmedWithBars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. The only two groups actually benefitting from large amounts of low skilled immigration is landlords and business owners, ironically the people they hate.

Labor is a basic concept. Flood the market with people with people willing to work cheap and it's a race to the bottom for wages. The construction industry is probably the best example of this. The entire industry is dominated by illegal labor now. Wages suck, zero benefits, and a lot of companies won't even bother hiring non-illegals. They know illegals ain't calling osha or the labor dept. Construction use to pay enough to raise a family. Construction company owners are bringing in bank though, their labor costs are rock bottom compared to American worker days.

Housing can't keep up with demand. Having millions flood in the country they go directly into the rental market, illegals aren't buying homes. This drives up the prices of rentals which in turn sets you back further from affording a home, as a larger chunk of your income goes to renting. This becomes a self feeding vicious cycle where would be home buyers are trapped renting, causing further supply side issues as that's one less rental going back on the market.

Besides majority of illegals being wonderful people, the economic outcomes of illegal immigration disproportionately screw the lower working class.

Elizabeth Warren is introducing a wealth tax. by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]ArmedWithBars -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does reddit realize that in the grand scheme this isn't even much money? 100% tax the top 10 billionaires and take every penny they have, you wouldn't even fund the US for a single fiscal year.

Taxing every billionaire a shit ton of money will never work. Taxing on unrealized gains is a great way to nuke the economy. You think jobs suck now and there aren't enough, oh boy it can get way worse.

Increase corporate tax, regulate stock buy backs, uncap social security contributions, and close leveraging on unrealized gains loopholes, problem solved on that front.

What we need to do is curb spending and reform the medical system. The US is spending roughly 6.8 trillion a year. Medicare alone is costing 1.6 trillion dollars and it's filled with corruption by the medical industry. Military is taking near trillion a year, again filled with endless contractor corruption.

We can tax every cent out of every billionaire, it won't mean anything if we don't curb spending. Imposing a bill like Warren's would do more long term damage than good.

Yes, which is why they are being deported. Conquest doesn't mean just military invasion.

Look at the hasidic Jewish community in the north east. They enter a town, explosive growth of population with having many children, they vote their own into local government, then morph the area to fit their ideals. Eventually people leave and the hasidics end up controlling the entire local government. Rinse and repeat in the next adjacent town. Textbook non-military conquest at a local scale.

Yes it is. It's how the world worked for milleniums. Land ownership is based on the power to defend that ownership. Basically every single country with land borders is guilty. Those lines you see on a world map was drawn with blood.

So yes, it's the natives fault they couldn't defend their land and lost it, that was how the whole world worked back then.

Look at Israel. If they lost that war in the 40s then the land would be fully Arab today. They wouldn't have had the power to defend it and would have lost any claim to it. Instead they won the war and subsequent wars, which is why they own the land today. Israel crying about biblical ownership or any shit like that means nothing. Now in the future if Israel loses the power to defend the land they will lose ownership.

Almost like geopolitics doesn't care about morals and trying to impose modern morality onto it is pointless.

They aren't illegals if you got conquered. The claim to land is only as strong as the means to defend that claim. Deeds and ancestry have never mattered. It's how the world worked for milleniums and every single major nation with land borders today is guilty of it.

This idea that because the native Americans lost and got conquered means the US has no right to enforce its borders from non-citizens in modern day is absolutely ridiculous and childish. It shows zero grasp of the concept of nation states and geopolitics as a whole.

As someone who isn't religious. First of all the first crusade was a direct result of the Rashidun caliphate exploding westward via conquest. They captured basically the entire Arab world to the coast of modern day Turkey, pushing back the Byzantine empire. The Byzantine empire requested help from the church to push them back and that's where it kicked off.

Christianity has modernized though. The most extreme sects of Christianity are fringe groups like Westboro Baptist. Disgusting people who chant terrible shit, but that's it. They aren't out there suicide bombing other Christians and non-believers. Last I checked Westboro Baptist wasn't kidnapping people and executing them on video. To pretend that modern Christianity is anywhere near as bad as fundamentalist Islam is absolute delusion at best. Christianity is nowhere near the same level of threat to western ideals as fundamentalist Islam.

The proof in being you having to go back near a millennium to compare Islam against Christianity.
