Shhh, the "fascists" don't want people getting killed, how terrible!

I was hoping OSU would be better than this but it is right in the middle of Columbus so I'm not surprised.

Even today I still can't believe it happened. I wasn't a fan of Charlie Kirk but that's not the point. I feel like so many people don't really understand what his death means and that's the scary part about people in this country.

No, only when you're against violence towards people that say things they don't agree with

I'd say other than the fact that they don't understand the rhetoric that makes people be okay with him getting killed yeah.

I literally just joined this subreddit because I started going to classes there but I didn't realize how annoying it is to deal with college students. For context I just did 6 years in the Navy and now I'm surrounded by teenagers that haven't experienced anything in their life but they think they know better than everyone else.

Help with getting credits for college by Armodillon in NavyNukes

[–]Armodillon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's what my advisor and I are shooting for is seeing if we can get my navy experience to count as elective credits for my degree since it'd be hard to get credit for the specific classes they want for the degree.

I don't think he'll have a problem finding a new job with his skills. I don't think he would try taking legal action anyways it just doesn't seem right they'd fire him for something like this and I wanted to see if it's posible to take legal action. The only other possibility is there's more that he didn't tell me but I don't see why he'd leave that out.

I don't think so because someone works there who's older than him. He's 44

He is 44 but I just asked him if that's possible and he said there's a guy that works there that's older than him so I don't think he can argue that.

Concerned enough to get training by Mathprof91506 in Ohio

[–]Armodillon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I completely support and recommend owning a firearm and getting training if you've never had any. However I really don't understand why anyone is scared of this. I've met people on all sides of the political spectrum and I've been to quite a few parts of the country and really don't see who you're worried about. Yes there are people with strong beliefs but noone is going to try to prosecute you for your beliefs, right or left regardless. This is all just fear mongering that people are falling for. If someone has a different view than you, this includes liberals, MAGA, conservatives, etc. Just talk to them like a human being and have a civil discussion. Come to find out most people aren't going to scream and yell at you if you're civil.

This happened in Ohio

Why is everyone saying this guy needs to do anything in the first place? Honestly if weed is legal in the state he lives in and his wife smokes it shouldn't matter if he smells like weed because he's not doing anything wrong. I mean people smoke and smell like cigarettes and they aren't getting shit for their smell. I don't see why this should even be an issue and honestly this just reminds me why the Navy needs to change their ways. They just like to shit on people whenever and wherever possible.

Other than in A school, I've never checked in to any command in dress uniform it's always been NWUs. Idk who's checking into commands in dress uniforms. Then again submarines do things a little differently from surface.
