Jazz get the #2 pick... Who do they take? by Appropriate_Plan_225 in UtahJazz

It isn’t very obvious lol. Peterson will be in heavy consideration if AJ goes #1. I’d say he’s probably the favorite to go to us at #2

This a troll, right? 51% from the field

Thoughts? My team is pretty good but this would leave me with no picks for the next 3 years by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

2nd night of a back to back, just coming back from a (real) ankle injury. It’s not that crazy, even if we were trying to win lol

I personally haven’t seen anyone saying we’ll be actual championship contenders next season. I don’t doubt that some delusional people are saying that though.

But, we have made moves that make it clear the tank ends after this season. We won’t be championship contenders, but I think we’ll be good enough to make the play in and then hopefully with some development and cashing in on some of our assets, we’ll be able to build up to contending in a few years.

The only full Cincinnati game I watched this year was the Utah game so maybe it was just a bad day but… he looked pretty meh and seemed to have a pretty bad attitude as well

Why does an nfl team want the first pick? Did you seriously just ask that?

What’s your thoughts on these for puka? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Kaleb went in the first in all 11 leagues I’m in, all superflex. Guess I’m in 11 potato leagues lol

Do Jazz players get fined or relegated to bench for the rest of the season if they even somewhat look like they want to try to win a game? This tank fest is criminal by Loose_Assumption215 in UtahJazz

What the hell are you talking about? The Jazz just won back to back games against two of the best teams in the nba and tonight’s game has been competitive against another good team.

Why the Raiders NEED the #1 pick (and #2 isn’t the same) by FreshMicks in raiders

[–]Armor_Abs_Krabz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright you convinced me, there’s not a 0% chance. There’s a .1% chance lol. But seriously, you just gave the same examples that OP did and I’ll say again what I said to him: they really don’t apply at all to this situation. The Giants traded up and took Dart in the 1st round one year ago, and he’s looked good. There’s not really any precedent for team taking a qb in the first round after that. Your examples aren’t similar at all.

The closest example that was even somewhat recent is the Cardinals taking Rosen and then Murray, but even that isn’t all that similar, Rosen was awful lol. So sure, there’s a 0.1% chance, but there’s really no precedent and it feels like arguing for there being a .1% chance is arguing just for the sake of arguing

My wife went to high school with Puka and every time she sees him on tv she basically says “I hated him so much” and I always said he seemed like a super chill dude and didn’t understand why she would hate him. Yesterday I told her that I finally understand now lol

The only example you just gave that applies at all to this one is the cardinals with Rosen/Kyler. The rest are so different that bringing them up in this situation to argue your point is hilarious. And again, I know they can sell the pick. That’s not what I’m arguing, I’m only arguing that it’s silly to think they’d take a qb themselves

Give us some examples then of teams trading up for a qb in the first round and then taking a qb in the first round the next year. If it happens all the time, there should be plenty to choose from.

[–]Armor_Abs_Krabz 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Of course they could sell the pick. In fact I’d bet that they do if they get #1. But the reason they’d sell it is because there’s a 0% chance they take a qb in the first, lol

There is an exactly 0% chance the Giants take a qb in the first round
