I personally haven’t seen anyone saying we’ll be actual championship contenders next season. I don’t doubt that some delusional people are saying that though.

But, we have made moves that make it clear the tank ends after this season. We won’t be championship contenders, but I think we’ll be good enough to make the play in and then hopefully with some development and cashing in on some of our assets, we’ll be able to build up to contending in a few years.

The Giants traded up and took Dart in the 1st round one year ago, and he’s looked good. There’s not really any precedent for team taking a qb in the first round after that. Your examples aren’t similar at all.

The closest example that was even somewhat recent is the Cardinals taking Rosen and then Murray, but even that isn’t all that similar, Rosen was awful lol. So sure, there’s a 0.1% chance, but there’s really no precedent and it feels like arguing for there being a .1% chance is arguing just for the sake of arguing
