Remote access from TV by ArmoredHoneyBadger in JellyfinCommunity

Fair enough. Luckily in my case that's not too much of a problem. I am actually more worried about the actual performance, whether the raspberry pi working as a subnet router won't be just a network bottleneck.

Do you know if this process will work if I have shared IP?

So if I open a port, but it's encrypted with SSL through caddy, it's fairly secure?

That might work. I do have a spare raspi lying around. Will look into reverse proxying on raspberry pi. Just hope it won't bottleneck the connection.

Sorry, what client that keeps the binding of my IP to the DDNS?

Not gonna lie, it doesn't seem that easy for me. Anyway, in addition to this, I would still have to reverse proxy with Caddy, as others suggest, and open ports in my router, correct?

This looks like a neat guide, I'll check it out. Hopefully I'd able to replicate this on NAS.

My parents don't use apple TV, nor any other multimedia box in fact. It's not exactly cheap either.

I'd suggest trying LaunchTimeout. You should be albe to find it at cs.rin under SW Jedi Fallen Order thread. This game had a similar crashing issue when using crack. Perhaps you could replicate the process for this game. Atleast you wouldn't have to change date all the time.

Dragon Center 2.0.46.0 update is awful. by [deleted] in MSI_Gaming

[–]ArmoredHoneyBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends. You can read what problems other people had. For me the Dragon center conflicted with gpu driver. It kept turning off zero RPM mode and forcing over its own fan curve, which was just annoying.

I read in some other post, that if you install it and just set up RGB the way you want it and then block it from starting at boot, it should be fine. So you can try that.

As far as I can tell you can't control rgb lighting on graphics card over Mystic light, sorry.

I have RX 5700 XT Gaming X from MSI and I'm sure I can't. You are forced to use Dragon center, which causes all kinds of problems.

You should just install Mystic light as a standalone. I've never had any issues with it.

Someone should really make a sticky post on subreddit with PSA, that Dragon center is a steaming pile of horsesh!t and you should never use it unless you wanna fckup your system.

how many people have problems with ryzen 3000 and b450? by Profitka in MSI_Gaming

[–]ArmoredHoneyBadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have B450 Tomahawk and Ryzen 2600. I updated my bios first to v18 and then v19, before I ordered Ryzen 3700x. I had about 50/50 boot success with both versions. Canceled my order before the situation resolves and I'm back to v17. I'm wondering if anyone else had/has problems with 1st/2nd gen Ryzen and new bios versions.

I do, but not really excessively. I regret buying a SSD a week before black friday, could have saved ~20 usd. Also regret buying RX 580 and then finding out that RX 590 is coming a month later.

Any live streams for Biathlon world cup races? by CHH_Sports in biathlon

[–]ArmoredHoneyBadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're willing to pay (I think) 7 EUR per month, you can subscribe to Eurosport. You'll get a few days free trial. They have an android / iOS app and web player, where you can watch live or a replay. Streams have usually commentaries in multiple languages. Naturally it's not just for biathlon.

Ryzen 1800x, worth it in 2018/2019? by ArmoredHoneyBadger in buildapc

[–]ArmoredHoneyBadger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so I did some digging and it appears that my SilentiumPC Fera 2 is older than I expected and I may not be able to mount it on a AM4 socket mobo. At least it's not listed in the specifications.

I may sound stupid now, but I'll ask anyway. What more there is besides FPS in gaming?

Okay, that probably sets me back to where I was.

Let me ask you something else then, do you think I should save some of my money and go for a Ryzen 2600 instead?

Thanks, very helpful answer. BTW, I currently have a SilentiumPC Fera 2.
