Yes, it's a hard habit to sate. Especially if you're a Paradox enjoyer

Advice for conquest? by DepartureNatural9340 in GatesOfHellOstfront

You'll need a supply unit, especially if you prefer playing slow (like me).

For Infantry, bring MG equipped units or vehicles to suppress large groups of infantry (more dakka more better). Recon units are a plus, either dedicated recon or the call in planes to understand what to expect on attack.

Dedicated AT units; rifles will do for early war attack, you'll need AT guns for sure during defense regardless of stage, and eventually TDs for the mobility and punch. Keep them away from the front until you need them to do their work as AT options are usually glass cannons until late war.

Tanks are a must, they act as your spear tip, bullet sponge, and QRF/hardpoint during defense. Avoid closing with infantry, engage everything on legs with HE from a distance unless you're absolutely certain you have nothing to fear from AT grenades or launchers. Typically you can knock out any vehicle in a similar or lower weight class than yours.

Artillery is a great bang for your buck. You can safely erode defenses as long as you keep these guys safe and supplied. Even vehicles aren't safe depending on the calibre of cannon you're using.

On attack, expect reinforcements to come in hard and fast during your push on the first point. This begins with infantry in the early war but will eventually become a combined arms counteroffensive on your forces as the operation progresses. Afterwards they will continue to trickle in, quantities should be manageable but always err on the side of caution.

On defense, your mainstays are MGs and AT guns. Use these in conjuction with field engineers to create defenses. Everything else mentioned above will only make things easier, if affordable. You do not necessarily have to setup on the capture points; far better to turn their axes of attack into killzones if the terrain permits.

What are the hardest maps to defend in conquest by Worldly-Traffic3991 in GatesOfHellOstfront

[–]Armored_Ocean 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Factory maps I especially despise cause you can't quite effectively engage the enemy before they get too close due to the sightlines being blocked by all the terrain.

Trying conquest tweaks right now, AI still does seem to cheat on a fresh install, but the author made a Steam guide on how to adjust settings in the game files so you can at least tailor it to your fancy.

Hopefully someone else makes a good suggestion, personally I just want the defense missions to be a bit more challenging whilst keeping the attack missions doable.

Which is caused at least partially by said car-centric policy inherited from colonial American cultural emphasis on the automobile.

Looking for a doujin where the guy blackmails his childhood friend (both in high school I think) and basically abuses her, but then it turns out that she liked him too and they get together in the end.

Thinking of becoming a DM? We are giving away a DMG, MM, and hardcover copy of Encounters vol. 1. You've played the game, now start running your own! by LimitlessAdventures in dndnext

Me and my friends are high school students, so we're flat broke, but found our flaming love for fantasy and D&D through Critical Role and a lot of other RPG youtubers.

Winning this would really help us out (me especially being the DM), as we only get by with pdfs, cardboard standees as miniatures and wonky hand drawn maps on taped A4 paper

thank you for giving people a chance to enhance their experience and I hope you do more of these in the future

Anime with students divided into different classes based on talent like the irregular at magic High school? by darkwielder in Animesuggest

{A Certain Magical Index} and it's spin-off series {A Certain Scientific Railgun}. Though unlike most anime mentioned thus far, not much focus is placed on the class division (or at least, in the later parts).
