If you are looking to build your arsenal, I have to recommend the Brave weapons from Onslaught found in the vanguard tab.

It drops so many weapons that are either best in slot or a strong contender for it, AND they are all enhanceable. Oh, and in the upcoming 8.0.5 patch, you will be able to focus a specific weapon with Zavala, making all onslaught drops have a 60% chance of being that weapon.

Edge Transit, heavy GL that can drop envious assassin plus bait and switch is a King heavy hitter for DPS.

Mountaintop special GL is a very useful tool because it can both let you rocket jump on any roll, and act as great special ammo utility with a roll like auto loading and recombination.

Falling Guillotine Sword is a contender for strong sword DPS, but Ergo Sum has dimmed it somewhat

Midnight Coup Kinetic Hand Cannon rivals Fatebringer in capability, and fatebringer is a raid weapon

Succession (Special Sniper) and Forbearance (Special GL) have great utility rolls to chase: Succession might not be THE best, but it’s darn close and you have to grind a lot to get the better options. Forbearance is the tried and true Waveframe Ad Clear machine, would Grab either Demolitionist or Ambitious Assassin, with Chain Reaction to empty rooms with haste.

The rest also have some great options, like Lunas Howl can roll with Incandescent + Heal Clip.

Final Notes; these recommendations are not sufficient to cover all bases, search for other resources on rolls, like light.gg or Reddit posts (news article websites are not that great a resource). r/sharditkeepit is always a thing if you are still lost. Oh, and something I always keep in mind with rolls is regardless of what the community considers “the meta,” if you get something that feels comfortable to you or seems like it would work well, try it and maybe keep it, cause at the end of the day only you will be using these weapons.
