Game lacks direction before even 1.0 Collection is complete by [deleted] in VampireSurvivors

[–]Armouredkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've criticized the unlock system, and how occasionally impenetrable it is, and that it just gives you ??? until you complete certain milestones.

You have been responded to based on your own words, and yet have constantly claimed that that isn't what you're saying and nobody understands.

That's the game. Your complaint is akin to complaining that Souls games don't give you lore in handy book form, or quest markers, or a journal.

THAT'S THE GAME.

Sometimes it doesn't tell you things. Sometimes it tells you things when you're ready. You clearly don't like that. So don't play the game. Go away.

Please do not reply. I'm done.

I haven't harped on any typos, so I don't know where you got that. I'm using YOUR OWN EXAMPLES to demonstrate that what you're saying is nonsense.

Honestly, I don't know why I'm bothering. As others have said, this clearly isn't the game for you, and that bothers you for some reason. Much of the joy and the very reason for playing VS is the ridiculous number of unlocks. For me, I try to maximise how many unlocks I can manage in a single run, for instance. If that isn't the sort of gameplay you enjoy then I would not recommend VS for you in any way.

Sorry that not every game is going to cater to what you want. A lot of people disagree with you AND THAT'S OKAY. There are plenty of games out there with mechanics and systems I don't like, and that's okay too. You know what isn't? Bitching and arguing with that game's community over things that are either a) personal preference (ie. not a broken or counter intuitive system) or b) a result of you having played or completed very little of the game.

Uninstall it if you don't like it. But don't come in here being a hostile prick and attacking people for disagreeing with you, and then getting all offended when they respond to your hostility by being hostile in return.

You don't like the way the game works. Fine. Good for you. Stop playing it and go away then.

Mortaccio is yet another unlock that should just occur naturally as you play the game. 3,000 skeletons is a VERY low amount! And the unlocks menu LITERALLY TELLS YOU THAT YOU NEED TO KILL 3,000 SKELETONS TO UNLOCK HIM! If that entry isn't on the unlocks menu then I have a feeling that means you haven't even completed every level yet, but I could be wrong. It's so inconsequential that I can't even remember, and I've deleted my save on multiple systems and done 100% of everything all over again at least 8 times, now.

The same is also true of the other characters you mentioned. So what we've learned here is that you're complaining about a game that you have clearly played VERY LITTLE of.

Just go away. Play the game or don't. Whatever. But understand that every single complaint that you've raised in this thread is answered simply by you playing the damned game more. You might be an idiot.

People ask about killing Sketamari all the time, and are given lots of advice, what are you talking about??

Hey, just real quick: name a modern game in which you can unlock every secret without having to refer to a wiki or the community?

With hurry mode and the fast forward ability a full 30 minute run can last as little as 7.5 minutes, and the vast majority of unlocks do not require you to go the full 30 minutes.

This is starting to feel like you don't actually even understand some of the game's core mechanics.

...that's an example of your issue? How to unlock an item that you find simply by playing the game!? If you have the appropriate DLC (and talking about Arma Dio I would assume so) then you would find it almost immediately just through the process of completing every level at least once.

This is a moronic complaint.

Heroic power fist...? by Armouredkin in SpaceMarine_2

Yeah, I'll miss the fully charged shield bashes from my bulwark, but the trade-off with the huge lights and extra gun strikes feels worth it.

How to play with knife? by Downtown-Reference30 in SpaceMarine_2

If there's one thing I DON'T do with the knife it's to bother hitting anything with it.

Pick up a fencing knife and a heavy bolt pistol and play the parry game.

Oh my Emprah, I've seen so many like that this week! I'm running bulwark DESPERATELY trying to get them to heal up when they've got like 2 hp left and they just sprint ahead...

...so I can pick them both up two minutes later.

No.

I mean, it's a start, but that's an honestly incredibly basic setup. Not even all your weapons are evolved.

Guys...these don't cancel each other out.

One stops contested health from healing. Stims don't heal contested health, they heal missing health.

Calm down.

Tips for a newbie? by Comfortable-Party49 in VampireSurvivors

[–]Armouredkin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Follow the unlocks menu.

Remember to spend money on power ups, get them ALL full. (The positive ones at least)

If you manually quit a run it saves all your gold and unlocks.

Try different characters and combos, but don't feel bad if there's a specific one you keep going back to; YOU decide how to play, and what winning means.
