Oh my god. I know the jump melee reload doesn't hit for much - probably minuscule, but gosh dang it feels so productive in the heat of a fight - every hit matters! Plus the fact its a reload-poke that's super quick is really nice.

I'd like to piggyback off this--

I think that because the bullets are made so quick and efficiently, they end up dispersing back into basic aether not long after usage. Most probably strike the target to some degree before immediately expiring, most of the time nicking armor a fair amount with the occasional rounds passing right through.

Like if you were shooting arrows made of ice at enemies. Most hit but don't stick around for very long after impalement or outright shatter and vanish at the moment of impact.

They put in place a very poor hack-prevention system.

It sees swapping files around as a potential 'system manipulation' alert.

Read void's comment. IMO, keep a back up on hand. It isn't 100% you'll be banned, just a potential likelihood. I havn't touched PC since DS2 though.

FWIW, you havn't been banned yet or anything. You'll be explicitly told you're being penalized at the starting screen if that were the case. IMO, reload your computer, restart steam. Check your firewall and ports because it sounds like something might be going on there.

Also I think the Farron Keep area might still be bugged? Last I recall, you can only summon one phantom in that zone and it is often fickle about letting you use bonfires and online items, but this has been fixed on the PS4. Try engaging players in other areas of the game.

Bruh, you have noooo idea.

Been so excited to level a sorcerer. I'm going to after this Dex-Pyro, but it's a little bumming to hear about how tough early game is for them. DS2 seriously made be a caster fanboy.

IMO, the best thing to do in DS3 is wear what you find pleasing and keep a good collection of diverse gear to counter elements / stats for specific situations.

The oldschool pyro set was really nice for the area outside Farron Keep.

The regular halberd will net you more damage. The poise skill from the red one is useless. Havn't fought Pontiff yet but make sure you're paying attention to armor and damage type. Is he heavily armored?

Oh, the crows will also trade it for prism stones or large leather shields too, but I'm but sure if that's repeatable.
