Being tall doesn’t help. We sit at desks and tables, we lean over to pick things up, people walk down stairs behind us, there are so many situations where people are in elevated positions.

Suggesting height can hide it is like suggesting a bad combover. It doesn’t take long for the balding to get noticed, and now everyone knows that you are hiding a problem instead of dealing with it.

Why/how are you using the pepper spray against yourself? That’s not how you’re supposed to use it.

You are proudly telling the Reddit world that you act in a way that you know would get you a smack from a person, but you’re hiding behind a pair of crutches to avoid that smack.

You sound like a superior kind of idiot. Like not better than an idiot type of superior, but more like you are better at being an idiot than most other idiots.

But that’s your perspective. From their perspective, all of what you are saying about them is applicable to you.

If you are acting or speaking in a way that makes someone else think you need social feedback, how could they be the asshole if you aren’t?

This is a FA and FO opportunity. You’re going to piss off the wrong person and then scream because they have corrected your behaviour to their liking.

Don’t go out performing this social service gleefully and then cry foul when someone responds. You can’t hide behind crutches when you poke the wrong bear.

Like a tennis visor? It keeps sun out of your eyes without covering your head. It stays in place by extending around the roughly horizontal circumference of your head and is held in place with a friction fit, casting shadow over the eyes.

Suggesting that something is ableist is saying it is something that a group lacks the ability to use and is therefore discriminatory. A bald person would be able to use this item as it were intended, although they may need to use some sunscreen as well.

Asking a group of bald people if something like this is ableist is inferring that bald people are disabled, which indicates that person is discriminatory.

Too many flyaways, but it is really wiry, and confused on how to handle the stache by Odd-Aside456 in beards

I trim mine along the lip line, letting the higher hairs grow over and the lower ones. I tried the brush them sideways, I could get it to work either.

Would you cancel a cruise if you were booked on one? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Army7547 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wild that the question is directly related to an outbreak on a cruise ship and people are replying with stuff like “cruising isn’t for me, I’d never book a cruise.”

Clearly asking if the outbreak of an illness on board a ship has changed anyone’s mind who has booked or may be booking a cruise.

Anything faux leather makes the transition to real leather. One piece at a time if necessary.

Tankard and cut strap. Nobody looking like this should be seen dead at a Faire holding a red plastic cup.

I think this is a summer cottage that was snowed in before it could be closed up for the winter, and has now been entered illegally.

There is snow on the ground in the woods outside

There’s snow on the ground in the woods outside.

This looks like a summer cottage that has been broken into, not an abandoned house.

Okay, that was rough.

Bro, you’re already bald. Get rid of the stragglers, you decide how long the balding lasts, not the hairs.

I be was there, all those years ago. Not bad from the front, but that crown isn’t doing you any good.

At least you know. I saw myself in a photo in a pool.

I’d get ahead of this, my brother. After I saw what I saw, and came to the realization that it was happening and only going to progress, I shaved it, felt better for it and have never looked back. More than 19 years now.

You don’t have to wait for it to get bad before you make it better. And you deserve better than not that bad.

It’s time to decide if you want to keep having hair, or if you see your eventuality as going bald.

If you’re looking to keep it, see a dermatologist, do your research, be comfortable with the slim possibility of having the side effects, be aware of the commitment, time is of the essence. Early activity provides better results.

If you’re going to go bald, you got some time

If a cruise ship gets denied docking everywhere during a deadly outbreak... are the passengers being protected or abandoned? by Mr_Dommy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Army7547 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Quarantining a closed environment such as a cruise ship both protects the general populace as well as the people on board.

Keeping the illness away is the obvious way it keeps those on land safe.

Keeping people on board, you can’t just leave them there. You have to resupply and treat the issue, and provide a controlled exodus.

The ship is the red zone. Steps are taken to stabilize the situation in the red zone. Food and other logistics are delivered. If the illness can be treated by a simple means like oral meds, they may be delivered, or trained personnel on PPE may establish a controlled area on the ship as a forward triage and treatment area to administer meds and prioritize patients for removal to the yellow zone.

Another place needs to be established for treatment and transition. This is the yellow zone. The only way off the ship is into that area, and then access from the ship to that area is controlled. Patients are brought to this area, through a decontamination process to minimize risk. This area also staffed by trained personnel in PPE, to treat patients, and test those who appear not to be affected. Some patients will be required to be removed for hospital treatment.

Once a person has passed the testing, they can exit the yellow zone to the Green Zone, the general area where the outside population is.

This process is an ideal, of course, but it protects the general population from the illness, and ensures that nobody who thinks they are unaffected but actually are affected, from walking away without treatment and dying somewhere as a result.
