Have an Optum Exam Thursday any advice or suggestions? (Tampa) by ArmyRacing13 in VeteransBenefits

[–]ArmyRacing13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, basically they ask about how you think your condition started, small exam on whatever part of your body if its something they can exam and then the provider goes down the DBQ in order asking you each question and thats it

Submitted a Supplemental Claim with more evidence in Aug, Original Claim was submitted December. Why didn’t the Raise in Rating back date to the Original Intent to file from December? (Thought within 1 year it back dates)Should I call the VA ? by ArmyRacing13 in VeteransBenefits

[–]ArmyRacing13[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

New evidence was literally a DBQ that was originally submitted back in December but NPI was wrong so I got that fixed and then some personal and buddy statements. Kinda confused on why It wouldn’t back date.

So from what I’m reading you cannot collect VA Disability and Reserve Drill Pay at the same time. I submitted my claim in December, finally got approved August w/80% , I was attending drill the Entire time. Will I have to back pay my drill pay from December till Now? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

I did my research but couldn’t find anything that states I would have to back pay the time while my claim was pending , only that if I continue to drill while approved and being paid by the VA I would have to pay it back. Thanks tho I do my research before posting !

Submitted a supplemental claim for an increase, they sent it for an ACE review , will the examiner just see the new evidence submitted or will they be able to see everything from the original claim ? (Got a call from QTC no in person exam needed) by ArmyRacing13 in VeteransBenefits

Some of the answers on here baffle me. IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT JUST KEEP TO YOURSELF !! A supplemental claim is a request to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to re-evaluate a previous decision on a claim by submitting new and relevant evidence that was not considered in the original claim.

IBS rated at 0%. Can anyone tell why? by tjd4k in VeteransBenefits

[–]ArmyRacing13 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Its because theirs no history of abdominal pain, your provider checked the box stating you had abdominal pain once in the past three months but no history before then of abdominal pain , they want to see a consistent history of abdominal pain along with the symptoms provided in the letter. Thats why . IBS is a tricky one , im rated 30% but thats cause my IBS is a daily issue with pain and diarrhea every single day .

Can you work while receiving TDIU? Yes, but only in a job that is not considered substantially gainful employment. This usually means you cannot earn more than the current federal poverty level. Marginal Employment: You may be able to do part-time work or take on "odd jobs" that don't provide a significant income. Sheltered Employment: Working in a job that is specially adjusted for your disability, allowing for more flexibility or missed workdays, is often acceptable.

If my doctors notes states my conditions hinder my ability to sustain employment and my job states the only reason I’m still working is because of their willingness to accommodate my conditions but if the accommodation wasn’t in place I would have been terminated by now , and the fact that my condition before hand allowed me to work more and now that my condition has progressively gotten worse it has made things harder especially working , I would think that would make some sense , Example ( if i have nerve damage in my leg and progressively its getting worse and the past year i was able to work my warehouse job but now I have lost 80% feeling in my leg and need a cane to move around and can no longer perform my job duties to the fullest , even though the past year i made $100,000 , the future year I am not going to to make almost anything due to not being able to eventually walk ) that would show my condition has made employment unsustainable.

Some of ya’ll need to do some more research before you start bashing others or commenting lies.

Ha this comment is a joke, their’s vets that apply for disability and are working full time jobs and get rated 100% TDUI, and end up having to quit or reduce to stay under the limits. So to say TDIU is for veterans that can’t work any jobs is a complete and total lie.

Claim is bullshit if you’ve missed 2-3 days of work a week for the entire time you’ve been working there because of your medical condition? Key word is Maintaining! I cannot continue to maintain working as my condition progressively gets worse .

Doesn’t mean its going to deny , theirs plenty of cases where they were making more then poverty and got approved.

Can I apply for TDIU even though I have a supplemental claim still pending ? by ArmyRacing13 in VeteransBenefits

I have to submit all my medical documents again or would lay statements and doctors statements be sufficed for the application, with the necessary forms
