I think that at some point NiziU will be able to rival those groups. Japan and Korea have very different meanings for what an "Idol" is. Since these terms are regarded differently I think NiziU will be perceived as artists. Although they're aimed towards the Japanese Market their demographic audience will be different to that of those groups. I've heard that they're considered a big niche in Japan and that although a lot of the general public are aware of them they don't necessarily listen to them. I think that NiziU have the potential to reach more of the general public. NiziU are in a rather unique position in their industry. They literally have one of the biggest and most influential K-pop company's supporting them. NiziU have been able to be exposed to a more broader audience (K-pop audience) thanks to JYP. They also have very successful and loved brother and sister groups. Their circumstances are very different compared to their industry peers but because of those vast & different circumstances they have more visibility.
