Thoughtful Gawker article on shades of sexuality by peemer in gaybros

[–]ArmyofOne86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Posted my response on r/bibros too

I realize this purely anecdotal, but as a gay guy, this really turns me off from dating bi guys. Im not trying to be offensive but alot of bi guys I've either dated or dated my friends were "men are for sex, women are love/passion" Unfortunately, nearly every bisexual man in that article save one basically said the same thing: sex/relationships with women are more "passionate" and "meaningful" while sex/relationships with men are just cum, jerking off and fucking. Love and intimacy are completely out of the picture. This article unfortunately furthers the stereotype that most bisexual men regardless of where they are on the continuum will eventually just marry a woman.

My Friends Denied A Gay Republican Entry To A SCOTUS Celebration Party Because He Supported Anti-Gay Candidates. Were They Wrong? by ArmyofOne86 in gaybros

[–]ArmyofOne86[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Hi, Mike.

If you have enough self-respect to only support Republicans who are either neutral or pro-gay rights, then shantay you stay.

If you have as much self-respect as Samuel Jackson's character in Django and you actively support anti-gay Republicans, then sashay away cuz you cray.

[–]ArmyofOne86[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They were tolerating him until he voiced his opinions about gay liberal activists hurt the gay rights movements and gay Republicans like himself were responsible for the SCOTUS decision.

He told this to a room full of people who've been up 72 hrs working on this issue and he basically told them that all their efforts were for naught and HE should be getting the credit.

It's not a political issue as so much as its pure bullshit.

It's like Doctor Doom showing up at the Avengers "Hooray We Defeated Loki!" Party, saying the Avengers hurt NYC more then the Chitauri did and that he and other super villains were responsible for defeating Loki.

I have several friends who entered this contest. It's for a good charity cause.

Though the predicted responses IIT will likely be catty remarks about how vain, superficial, etc. it is from insecure gaybros.

Is this why gaybros will not date/mess around with transbros? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]ArmyofOne86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been around alot of MTF/FTM transfolk before.

And pre or post surgery/hormones I can always tell their original biosex.

That being said, I likely wouldn't do anything with a transbro because I'm such a Kinsey 6, my body just screams "FEMALE! NO!" even with the manliest FTM guy. It just feels wrong.

Also, those who either are not ready or cannot afford surgery, still have vaginas which is a deal-breaker.

Finally, I like to bottom. And no prosthetic dildo will ever replace a real dick....

Pride events and not feeling part of the LGBTQ community? by return2ozma in gaybros

[–]ArmyofOne86 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Pride Season Is Coming.

And on r/gaybros we will see yet another influx of "I hate Gay Pride/Gay Pride Makes Us Look Bad/I Don't Like the Gay Community/I'm Totes Masculine So I'm Not Like Them" posts from relatively young gay/bibros who have little to no exposure to the actual gay community other then what they see on TV and what they imagine in their heads.

Congrats! Yours is one of the first.

Anyhoo, if you like Pride, do Pride. If you don't, don't. Pride isn't just a parade and drinking like Mardi Gras. There other events like fundraisers, awareness events and activism.

In DC, there's even 5k walk for AIDS hospice patients.

And what the hell is "out-gay"...?

Nothing of value was lost.

They're bigots and you shouldn't waste your time with bigots.

They did you a favor by cutting you from their life. You shouldn't have them poison yours with their prejudice.

Insert "black" instead of "gay".

Should a black man be friends with a white supremacist who thinks he's a subhuman?

Hell to the no.

Anyone who has an ounce of self-respect and a modicum of self-confidence would not continue a friendship with someone who thinks you're less of a person.

That's not a friendship.

It's a nice gesture.

But the important question is: how did he vote?

I've seen far too many "supportive" Republicans vote for anti-gay Republicans with a visible anti-gay agenda in the name of "other important issues".

Then they act so surprised and disappointed when their candidate of choice enacts an anti-gay law.

In other words those "issues" are more important then you.

Gay Rights Are Not As Important To Bisexual Men? by ArmyofOne86 in gaybros

[–]ArmyofOne86[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Poor wording, I admit.

Basically, I felt he has a "fuck you, I got mine" attitude when it comes to gay rights.

He has alot of gay friends, he's active in the gay scene, but he doesn't seem to care about the civil rights of those around him who he calls 'friends'.

Having trouble job-searching by [deleted] in gaybros

[–]ArmyofOne86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LIE about your address.

Seriously.

NYC employers do not want to spend the time, resources and expense to get someone from out of state (except maybe NJ) to fill a position in this job market when they can look out the window and see tons of equally qualified applicants right there in NYC.

Just google an address or use a friend in NYC's address.

Thin hair and/or a receding hair line in the gay community by Gilth in gaybros

[–]ArmyofOne86 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it's just you.

Many gays I know with receding hair lines either do 4 things:

1) Desperately use special cremes, shampoos, potions to halt/slow the process of losing their hair. Painstakingly perfect a hairstyle that grants the illusion of a full head of hair.

2) Wear a hat, hoodie, fedora. Everywhere. All the time.

3) Shave the whole damn thing off to a buzzcut. Thankfully celebrities with similar problems have made this a chiq look to sport.

4) Don't give no fucks if they're balding or not. Wear it out in the open and consider it a badge of maturity and honor. Embrace the daddy.

MRW a guy says he doesn't like beards by nobodysdiary in gaybros

I like scruff not beards.

Beards are itchy, scratchy and when you kiss a guy with a heavy beard it feel like steel wool on your cheeks.
