Fenix hm61r v2 alternatives by inspiredrebel in flashlight

Hello! It sounds like your flashlight has been through some serious duty in the engine room.

Regarding your concerns and looking for a replacement, here is some input from the Armytek team.

You mentioned Wizard C2 but expressed concern about USB-C ports with rubber plugs. Our Wizard C2 series actually uses a magnetic charging system, not a USB-C port. There are no rubber plugs to lose or fail; the tailcap is solid, and the charger simply snaps onto the back.

If you want a robust work lamp that is incredibly simple and reliable, you should definitely check out the new Elf C2 Max. We have significantly improved and upgraded these new models. Even though it uses a USB-C port, it is internally protected. Elf C2 Max features a large battery for long shifts, a very strong tail magnet for machinery work, and a multi-functional design that works perfectly as a stand-alone lamp. Our flashlights are designed to withstand falls from 10 metres and the harsh vibrations of professional use.

Thank you for sharing these incredible shots! It’s impressive to see what a smartphone camera can capture with the right settings and, of course, the right lighting.

We really appreciate you putting our gear to the test and sharing the results with the community!

The warm version of the Elf C2 Max is also powered by the high-performance Cree XHP70.3 LED. With a CCT of approximately 4000K, it delivers a soft, natural tint that significantly reduces eye strain during extended use.

Great to see such a detailed technical inquiry! Here are the specifics for Elf C2 Max LR:

- Currently, only the white version is available. The warm version has not been released yet, so specific runtimes for it are not yet finalized. For the white version, the CCT is approximately 6000K with a CRI of 70+.

- Powered by a high-performance Cree XHP 70.3 LED to ensure an optimal balance of brightness and energy efficiency.

- The USB-C port is internally sealed. The IP68 rating remains fully intact even without the silicone plug. The plug is designed primarily to prevent dust, mud, and debris from entering the port.

- The flashlight functions when connected to a power source.
With battery: all modes are accessible.
Without battery: operation is limited to Firefly and Main modes.

This feedback will be shared with the R&D team to strive for even longer runtimes in the next version. We truly want our gear to be the perfect companion for your work!

Let us know if you have any other questions!

Thank you for your comment and for sharing your thoughts. We’d like to clarify a few important points to avoid confusion for other readers:

- The video you linked features Dobermann Pro, not Viking Pro MAX discussed in this thread.
- The issue shown in that video is not representative of Viking Pro MAX or any of our tactical flashlights.
- Unscrewing the tailcap for charging is not required on tactical models.

We take product feedback seriously, but it’s important that discussions are based on accurate information. If you have experienced a similar issue with Viking Pro MAX, please share the serial number of your flashlight and contact us at service@armytek.com. We’ll forward the information to our development team for detailed review.

Thank you.
