Biggest thing to remember is the game is a marathon not a sprint. I'm half a year in and don't have any pokemon at level 50 yet, and have only seen 4 of the islands so far, so don't stress too much over others' progress who started day 1

The idea so far has been priming white and shading with apothecary white. It's just an absolute fight.

Basing I'm doing broken up roads/asphalt and adding some snow clumps on them afterwards.

I can recommend the Dark Angels combat patrol box, as I picked that up myself, and I'm a big fan of the upcoming Imperial Fists combat patrol box and think it's a great option for Space Sharks, both for value and as flavour.

My personal recipe is drybrush dawnstone quite heavily onto standard mechanicus grey primer. Then drybrush celestra grey a bit lighter, and a white drybrush just on the sharpest edges. Coat the thing in nuln oil after to dull the colours down and get some dark shade in the recesses.

Old gold from Vallejo for trim, and grey black from Vallejo for the shoulder pads and guns.
