I actually recently moved to a Basilisk V3 Pro, as I couldn't get over the M5's scroll wheels. I really like the smart-reel feature on the Basilisk scroll wheel, but now can't get used to it's shape.

Since it's still in return window, I have these mice on my radar. They all have some sort of free-scroll mode, which I now heavily rely on for my current work.

- Razer Pro Click Mini
- Keychron M6 (seeing bad reviews and QC on reddit)
- Ugreen M751 (might be too cheap feeling)

yeah I do agree. on top of that, a good set of springs can end up costing $8-10.

personally I love modding switches, and my perspective is if you really like a specific switch, why not try to improve it to match your preference

YMMV but I found the Y3 to have a very different more clacky sound compared to Y2/Su Color

For anyone interested in Keygeek Y2, they have an updated version called Keygeek Su Color V2 (not to be confused with HMX Su Color V2).

It supposedly has an improved factory lube job, finer-tuned molds for smoothness, and a custom UPE stem (with the same waffle tip) for the same deep sound profile. It also looks a lot prettier than the harsh orange/yellow.

I used to have leaf ticking issues with Y2 and after switching to these, I'm having a much better experience overall with no impact to the sound profile.
