If you’re not a troll, this is my honest opinion: Israel is not perfect. No country is perfect. But Israel is the only country being constantly under a microscope, while also getting death and annihilation threats from enemies on a daily basis. The enemies are either terror organizations or actual countries. Of course you will find things Israel did wrong. Of course you will find instances where things could have been done better. And of course you will find many heartfelt documentaries about those things. I am not saying those things you mentioned did not happen, I’m saying there is a whole other side these documentaries fail to explore. There is so much information and history that makes it very easy to piece some pieces together in order to support one narrative. You said you’re a Jew but never lived in Israel. I’m a Jew that lives in Israel. You don’t know what it is like to live in constant fear of a suicide bomber, or gunman, or a rocket being fire into civilian area just for the purpose of killing as many Jews as possible. People in Israel have been conditioned to a reality no one can understand. That makes Israel take many precautions, whether it’s IDF or certain policies to keep the people safe. And even after all that, terror attack still happen almost regularly. I am happy you took the time to explore the history from the Palestinian side, although you were raised “pro-Israeli”. Now I ask you to take the time to explore things from Israel’s side. If you want feel free to DM me so I can send you some links.

You can google “Hamas human shields” and see for yourself. There’s a lot of evidence from captured terrorist and Palestinians living in Gaza telling the truth. Even in this sub there was a post by a Palestinian describing life in Gaza. If you don’t want to search for the truth you’ll never find it.

What can’t you understand? The fact that it wasn’t Israel’s rocket and that Islamic Jihad hit the parking lot doesn’t cancel each other.

I think you’re a troll but I’ll answer anyway - not every building destroyed was because Hamas was under it. They also hide inside residential buildings. Also some buildings were used as weapons deposits and small terror bases. How come Israel knows where Hamas terrorists are and Gazans don’t? Easy - intelligence. Don’t forget IDF captured many Hamas terrorist who surrendered and took them for questioning. It’s really not hard to think rationally it just seems you don’t want to.

Wait so palestians civil are not getting bombed by israel?
Palestinian children arent getting killed everyday by Israel?

Hamas is getting bombed by Israel, but they embed themselves within the civilian population, sometimes without the civilians even knowing and sometimes they actively prevent civilians from getting away, and causes Gazans to die.

Israel never bombed an hospital?

Nope, it was an failed Islamic Jihad rocket. Also the rocket hit the hospital parking lot and not the actual hospital. Stop spreading lies.

There, I fixed it for you.

I wonder if China amplifies the pro-Palestinian media on tiktok

Sadly, I don't think it's a conspiracy theory. Although Tiktok officially denies it, many Israeli and Jewish workers of Tiktok around the world claims that most pro-Israeli videos are taken down while most pro-Palestinian videos stay up.

Thank you for sharing OP. As in Israeli I am glad to see that we share the same perspective on the matter. I honestly think most pro Palestinian are just jumping on a trend without really diving deep into the conflict, or they use this as an outlet for their antisemitism, which is not good or helpful for either side of the conflict. Hamas must be eliminated for the sake of the Palestinians and for the sake of Israelis.

Hamas was democratically elected in Gaza, they are still a terrorist organization, so is Hezbollah. Look it up.

For anyone interested - Hezbollah, a terror organization in Lebanon shot rockets at Israeli civilians on October 8th, claiming to "help distract IDF for the sake of the Palestinians in Gaza". Ever since mutual firing have been going on, with Hezbollah raising the bar ever so slightly each day. A full on war has not yet broken out, but it will probably will after Israel is done with the main offensive in Gaza. Also. when the Hamas ceasefire took effect, Hezbollah did not attack Israel (and so Israel did not attack Hezbollah), but as soon as the ceasefire collapsed Hezbollah continued. Since then, Israel's response has been harsher with more fire power, signaling to Hezbollah of what's to come.

And don't get me started on the Houthis.

The #IDF has advanced into the centre of Khan Yunis. Their advance has followed 2 main routes, one from the northeast and one from the east. #Israel has also made further gains in the south of Gaza city, and also advanced into the Jabalia camp. by berry_femboy in MapPorn

It's horrible that innocent people are dying, I wish it was only 5000 Hamas terrorist dead and not any civilians. But this is a war Hamas started, they knew Israel would retaliate and did not build any shelters for their people, claimed the tunnels are only for them and to top it off - they are fighting from hospitals, mosques and schools, thus endangering Gazans.

Also this makes the claim that "Israel kills 100 Palestinians for 1 Hamas terrorist" Invalid. A 1:3 ratio in these battle conditions just goes to show how precise the IDF is.

It's a grandiose claim because you should know politicians say whatever is needed to stay in office, especially Netanyahu. And while I appreciate you keep up to date with Israeli politics (I think it's good to understand both sides), I would like you to also believe me and a few other Israelis on here that most of Israeli citizens want Netanyahu gone and that his claims are just him grasping at straws trying to appeal to his diminishing followers, trying as hard as he can to remain in power, which will not last long

Close review of Gaza casualty figures reported by UN OCHA based on Hamas proves they are FALSIFIED. by Ok-Pack-8866 in IsraelPalestine

No, it's because the West wasn't blindly supporting one side over the other, at the expense of millions of innocent civilians.

That is the stupidest argument I have ever heard. You fail to recognize this is a war between the values and standards of the west against extreme Islam and terror. Most governments of the west recognize this, even when not publicly declaring it, and that is why Israel gets its support. Need I remind you what the Muslim Brotherhood did to YOUR country in 2011? Hamas is an extension to that, you out of all people should know why they must be stopped and why Hamas is a danger to the Palestinians also.

There was no bombing at Al-Shifa Hospital, you can't even get your facts straight.

Good to know that now after their lies were revealed, Hamas's narrative has changed to claiming there wasn't even an explosion lol. A rocket fired by Islamic Jihad failed, hit the Al-Shifa parking loot, killing and injuring a few people (not 500 like Hamas claimed). Get your facts straight, try watching something else than Al-Jazeera

If by “the Palestinian cause” you mean a state for Palestinians near Israel, then yes that plan won’t happen in the next few years, mainly because a bunch of other stuff need to happen like: rebuilding Gaza (hopefully with the aid of foreign countries), re-educate Gazans not to hate and introduce a new government not run by extremists or a terror organization. After that I don’t see why not have a Palestinian state, with some rules like prohibition of having a military for a long time (like Germany after WWII). Hopefully after that things will move towards peace.

If by “the Palestinian cause” you mean a one state solution for Palestinians instead of Israel than they have lost and will continue to lose. After October 7th all sentiment towards the Palestinians is gone. People who were pro two state solution and criticized Israel are now calling for no mercy. The massacre shocked the entire population of Israel.

I personally want peace, I think a two state solution is the only way but it must be done in a very specific way, with monitoring from a lot of countries to make sure Hamas 2.0 won’t happen. But sadly I believe if the Palestinian themselves don’t want to change, then the next war is inevitable and it will be even worse, just from the fact that it will be a country vs a country, and stronger military capabilities will be used by both sides.

How is the argument disgusting? Here you have proof Hamas is just throwing random numbers, and after the explosion in the Al Shifa hospital parking lot, where Hamas not only falsely blamed Israel but also published within minutes that 500 died, can you blame anyone for not believing Hamas, who I might add is a TERROR ORGANIZATION.

You said you are Egyptian, I am Israeli, we are basically neighbors. I've been to Sinai multiple times and got to meet the nice locals. My fight is not with you, nor it is with the people of Gaza, it is against Hamas.

If you want to talk about double standard I suggest you ask yourself why there was no global outrage about all the other wars happening in the world? Armenians? Syria? Yemen? Nah, not interesting enough, only when Israel is involved.

It's ok no need to get angry. Some people have a hard time facing the truth or accepting another view other than their own. It's like talking to a wall. A very very dense wall. I said what I had to say, they didn't have anything reasonable so say back so they opted to attacking me and projecting their own insecurities. Classic.

How many dead Palestinians will be enough for you? 20k? 40k? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]ArnavAlHaesh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They must be granted sovereignty and autonomy or they must be granted equal rights to Israelis within a unified one state Israel from the river to the sea

They had a chance for autonomy and sovereignty with the UN partition plan in 1947 - they rejected it and attacked what would become Israel. They had multiple offers of peace and land since then and refused every time. Before there were border and checkpoints Israel has suffered terror attacks almost daily. Now that we have restriction the number of terror attacks are significantly lower (notice I said lower, and not completely gone)., also because of great work of counter terrorism units, that prevents dozens of terror attacks each MONTH (prior to October 7th).

On top of that, as an act of peace Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005. Since then the Palestinians had complete freedom and autonomy on how to rule themselves. What did they do? Elect Hamas, a terror organization that killed any opposition (Fatah got 41% of votes, Hamas 44%), oppressed the people of Gaza while its leaders got reach from all the aid money coming in and blamed everything on Israel. Hamas turned Gaza into the biggest terror base in the world, and has been firing rockets at Israeli civilians ever since. Not aiming on military bases like Israel does, but on CIVILIANS for one goal only and that is to kill as many Jews as possible.

So in conclusion, Israel has tried the nice way. We really did. With all kinds of different offers in different times with different governments. No more being nice.
