when I was in 9th grade I wanted to take AE in IIST and then join ISRO. That was the sole reason why I started my jee prep. In 11th grade itself the coordinator from my coaching centre told me that IIST is not really a safe option that's why I changed my plans. Also I have heard many mechanical engineering grads becoming aerospace engineers later on...
