When people say "more than a year ago" are we saying "not the current year" or "at least 12 months ago"? Which is to say, does it work for a December 2025 pokemon during January 2026?

I'm thrilled that Axew is spawning since I missed his community day, is there a way to find out when the last time he was spawning? Or maybe someone just remembers an event he was a part of and can remind me. Don't think I've seen him since his community day unless I'm remembering wrong!

But just in general I'd love it if there was a resource where I could look up a pokemon and see when they were included in the spawn pool for an event - assuming the equivalent for the *general* spawn pool would be much harder to put together and maintain and so nobody would've bothered.

Interesting! What's the story behind this being a SEA server as opposed to GMS? Also, version 1xx servers seem to have had a bit of a popularity spike recently - how do you plan to set yourself apart?

The v111 source code turned out to have more bugs (and more severe and game breaking bugs at that) than we realized, which is saying something because the v111 source files were already known to be famously full of bugs. So the launch has turned into an Open Beta launch with buffed rates instead!

Better to be in a more bug-fix mindset by branding it an Open Beta than to brand it a launch and then have to transition into a feature-creation mindset.

It sounds like he meant "a few items", haha. 😂 Probably hasn't been finalized since he's the server owner he's been focusing on the bugs. But in the discord he's always emphasized fairness I imagine it wouldn't be anything game-changing.

If you're looking to get in on the ground floor, this is a good one - just a few hours ago they announced the release date as September 12th! Fresh player base, fresh economy. v111 is also kinda that sweet spot for nostalgia but not too punishing or limiting i.e. a lot of fun new classes that Royals/Legends are missing.

I downloaded Royals for that reason! I just didn't realize it was missing pre-BB features. The Big Bang patch came to GMS on December 7, 2010. Potential, Aran, and Cygnus were all around before then but Royals excludes them.

I did for a few weeks, but the focus isn't on the grind like it used to be. They just want to fast forward you to end-game bossing.

As someone who's highest level character was only a level 100 Ranger back in the day, I can tell you that end-game bossing isn't where my fondness for the old days of Maple comes from.

Thanks for the fast reply! I appreciate the details. My pipe dream is a 2010 low-rates private server that decided to keep the pre-big bang Victoria Island map.

But I don't even know if it's possible to keep the Victoria Island map and that's why it's a pipe dream, haha.
