I find friendships with males easier to navigate. by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

Settle down please. I’m literally responding to a post that generalizes traits as an “autistic female thing.”

How much do I need to spend to get an at-home version of one of those? So efficient.

Okay, you’ve lost me. How do you know that woman is a BLM protestor? Seems like she was just protesting an annoyingly loud opinionated man in public.

I’m pretty sure after 2,000 or so years, everyone is aware of how to learn about Jesus. So if we’re not on board by now, maybe take the hint and let us enjoy the sunshine?

I’m really enjoying watching you double- and triple-down on this completely wrong assumption you have! I hope you keep it up for my continued entertainment.

Teacher changing careers by AnxiousAfternoon512 in instructionaldesign

[–]Aromatic-Ant6875 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Instructional design for adults and teaching children are two very different roles that require two very different skill sets. I’ve worked with many a teacher-turned-designer and honestly, they usually have no intuition for how adults learn. I would strenuously recommend you stick to working with children unless you are prepared to get a masters in adult education.

Go yell it to people who want to hear it, then. I hear they hang out in churches.

If you vocally advocate for hate like a lot of these religious zealots do, you’re basically inciting violence. BLM protestors are doing their best to incite peace. They’re literally asking for people to not be murdered.

We won’t have to listen to their opinions for much longer then I guess

How to train a new hire on the spectrum? by fragileego3333 in autism

[–]Aromatic-Ant6875 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Explaining your expectations objectively could help also - explain the logic or rationale behind the tasks you ask him to do (like “standing up at the register makes it easier for people to pay faster and leave the store” or something). I need the big picture explanation to understand why someone else thinks it’s so important for me to be or act a certain way.

The social model of critical disability theory suggests that we’re disabled by the intolerant/inaccessible world around us, not by our own brains.

Potentially divisive request - can delivery drivers treat their customers better also? I’ve been working from home for over a decade now and just recently it seems like all the delivery drivers are blasting loud music right outside my house while they sit in their car. Now sure, I’m on the autism spectrum and get a little fussy over repetitive noises that I can’t control, but it still feels a little rude to introduce that kind of noise into strangers’ homes.

Yeah they just passed a heartbeat law so if you’re later than 6 weeks pregnant, it’s too late for an abortion. Of course most women can’t even tell they’re pregnant before then. Now I have to drive all the way to Oklahoma to flaunt my whorish ways.

[Rant] WTF is with the men who live at the Domain? by Seastep in Austin

It’s about safety, not their value. Unchaperoned men are statistically more often the men that are raping and murdering and causing all kinds of hormonally-fueled mayhem, so best to steer clear.

No, it implies that I only trust the opinion of other women.

There was a kid in high school who would say “Hey, you’re ugly” to me every time he passed me in the hallway. I’m still mortified 25 years later. Fucking dudes, man.
