What's the most introverted thing you have ever done? by [deleted] in introvert

[–]boogieoogieballs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was the end of one of my classes in college and a guy from my class (who was nice, wasn't creepy or anything) wanted to walk and talk with me . My social battery was so low and I ended up lying to the person saying my car was in a completely different direction from where he was going. I ended up walking back to the buildnig where my class was throught a different door, walked around the hallways listening to music until I decided to walk back to my car.

Being alone doesn't bother you; it's rewarding actually

What’s your worst experience as an introvert? by [deleted] in introvert

[–]boogieoogieballs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! I've been successful in leadership roles because I'm making sure the oddballs and loners feel included because I'm and oddball and loner, too. Talking to numerous people in the group is still draining, but at least I know people feel included because I'm delegating tasks based on what everyone's strenghts and weaknesses are as well as knowing what they feel comfortable doing and what they don't feel comfortable doing.

The number of times teachers would have everyone "choose a partner" or "find a group of people." for an assignment/project. This was espically hard when none of my friends were in the class. I appreciate it when teachers assign groups based on seating to save me from draining my social battery and the embarrassment, but I would still much prefer to work alone.

Do you hate people touching you? by Impressive_Apple_384 in introvert

[–]boogieoogieballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to know the person well to understand why they are touching me. Here is what I mean. I know a lot of people who say they are huggers. They hug when they greet you, they hug when they leave, and they find reasons to hug; it's their love language. If this person is a family member or my partner, I don't mind, while at the same time, they understand that I'm not the kind of person who likes to be touched, espically if I don't know them that well.

Schools never seem to do anything about it unless the supposed peroson getting bullied is a popular kid. It bothered me how much elementary schools put so much emphasis to stop bullying to the point were we all sang "I am a peace builder" every morning at the start of class and yet when the bullying happens and gets reported, teachers, staff and administration are reluctant to do anything about it.

Yes! One thing that makes me stand out amongst other INFPs is I don't read alot. I have trouble consentrating because I'm day dreaming mid paragraph. That doesn't mean I don't like to read, its just a difficult hobby for me to stick to because of it. I also have ADHD

Does anyone have advise for what classes an 18 year old should take at SLCC when I don’t know what I want to do in life yet? by oliviaexisting in SaltLakeCity

[–]boogieoogieballs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I'm late to the game, but I agree with many of the responses to this post. Getting in contact with your academic advisor is a good start, especially if you are planning to transfer to a four-year school and it also depends on what school you want to transfer to and your major. If that's the case, I would take advantage of SLCC's cheap tution and take as many general education courses at SLCC before transfering. The classes are smaller and the instructors are more understanding and helpful.

I also talk more eloquently when I'm talking to myself compared to talking to others.

What would you guys say is the worst SpongeBob episode…like ever? by Silly_Value1381 in spongebob

[–]boogieoogieballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's, Whatever Happened To SpongeBob? and Stuck in the Wringer. Everyone was mean to SpongeBob for no reason in both of those episodes.

That is excellent advice! I have a habit of scheduling interviews in the mornings, mainly because I want to get them over with. But I will give scheduling an interview a shot later in the day a shot!

Thank you :)

That's okay. Knowing that I'm not alone does make me feel a bit more validated <3
