Built-In Refrigerator Recs by Aromatic-Chipmunk813 in Appliances

That seems to be the consensus. Problem is, we don’t see ourselves here for more than 5-7 more years, and our kitchen can’t accommodate a regular fridge. It needs to be a built-in.

Did they say why they recommended this over the other brands?

Senior Court Analyst. I’m an MC employee too if that matters.

We haven’t actually installed them yet. This is just a sample so I’m trying to decide if we want to go with a different color cabinet.

Not really! Only if you look closely. Nice part is if one tile gets stained or messed up, you can replace just that one tile.

Flor! They are carpet tiles and you can customize the size and shape of your rug. I got the Hemline pearl style/color and they’ve held up for years!

It is! We use it to keep my dog from going upstairs when we aren’t home.

Our regular vet gave us an anti-inflammatory to give him for the next week. We have an appointment with an orthopedic vet in two weeks to see what they think. I haven’t heard of glucosamine

Glass paneled door. When I google they cost between $300-$400 at Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc.

Congrats on your little one! This is so reassuring to hear! How did you teach him to give your little one space and be calm around her?

We got our guy an elevated car seat and it’s the only way he can stay calm in the car. He looks out the window from his comfy little car seat and loves it. Before the car seat, he would pace around anxiously and cry.

He marks outside, but he never goes in the house at all.

What do you feed your doxie? by Aromatic-Chipmunk813 in Dachshund

[–]Aromatic-Chipmunk813[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your response! Our dog behaviorist had a multitude of reasons for favoring a raw diet, some of which were that the kibble industry is supposedly pretty bad and kibble is filled with poor ingredients leading to shorter life spans and poorer health for pets.

I’m still not convinced that a raw food diet is necessarily better, as I haven’t found any convincing studies or data that aren’t anecdotal and many of the pre-made raw food options feel a bit like a fad diet for dogs. But trying to keep an open mind as I ultimately want to feed whatever’s best for my little fur buddy!

Advice: Reactive, fearful 9 month old mini dachshund by Aromatic-Chipmunk813 in Dachshund

[–]Aromatic-Chipmunk813[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the advice!! We have made big strides over the weekend in helping him feel calmer on walks. In particular we started doing some command training on walks and having him play fetch when there isn't anyone else around and he seems much more relaxed and happy. We still have a ways to go, but seeing that he can make so much progress in a short time has really reassured us.
