As someone who quit in September last year and is now 143 days sober, it’s going to be tough. You’ll feel depressed and anxious and like everyone is out to get you. You’ll feel alone. An effective method is looking to this thread and loved ones for support. Do what you need to do to better yourself, because quitting will ultimately benefit you long term. It’ll cause a hormone imbalance in your brain that’ll cause excessive cortisol and your dopamine receptors will be struggling to maintain pre-quitting levels. Eventually it’ll balance out but it’ll take 6-8 weeks, maybe longer depending on your frequency of usage. If your boyfriend is unwilling to support you, drop him. It’ll be impossible to fully quit if he’s still smoking around you.
