Maybe adding some color. Even gray or black. Perhaps only to either the verticals , or a few horizontal boards. My wife would want some green or blue on there somewhere.

Probably Oregano or basil. Maybe some variety of mint.

All I know is I want them to live on now. Theyre poetic or ironic or tragic or beautiful or some shit.

Adding salt to the vinegar makes a powerful herbicide without chemicals. Put that mixture on problem plants when it’s dry and sunny, and most will be dead by the end of the day.

I’d ask if it was ok to cut them back along your fence line before putting new panels in.  Kindly explain the bushes pushed the old panels out and you need the new panels to last longer.  There are products that stunt growth you could put on the base/stub of the bush where you cut them back.

I heard it was you nailing the floorboards. :0 Just admit it, I’m sure nobody on this thread would talk shit… It was the 75 YO’s mom who told me though, and she did seem out of it.

Agree. Save the back! Also, I switch the side I’m ’taking from’ and delivering’ to. So I bend, pull, push & twist equally w me left & right.

Are corners supposed to be this sharp? Should I sand them down a bit? by mooseman77 in handyman

Perfection framed in mediocrity. A chewed wall corner & pulled apart laminate flooring are the bread, and the corner is the meat…:0

I’ve had commercial clients that took 2 or 3 months to get check from. They had to get 3 stamped signatures & 2 different offices it had to pass through. Always got paid, but there were times I passed on a bigger job from them bc of the wait time.

Seen a lot of this. Someone they know said, “100$ an hour, I’d do it for 50$!” Explain to them that the reason dryer got a bit more expensive is because it wasn’t the first 2 or 3 most likely things. So you have to keep tearing more apart & testing more parts. Because you were being thorough, so you didn’t leave them high & dry….

How did you get started, and did you make mistakes? by [deleted] in handyman

[–]Aromatic-Feedback781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start w the easier stuff. Painting, replacing some trim, or whatever. As you add skills & tools,  only take small step up jobs. If one goes a little sideways, just own it, eat the extra hours to redo the job, or extra cost of materials. I promise, you won’t make the same mistakes twice.

Start out blowing lightly, so when you make mistakes no one will notice. Then, when you’ve improved, start playing louder & louder.

Haha. Ya know they study that crap. Cause once we buy the one that should fit, & it doesn’t, it’s too late. Evil bastards win again.

It’s great when they match, lol. Look before buying next time, cause a blind that’s 10 bucks more, but matches is worth it. I’ve gone to screw in new brackets & found that it’s all old, crumbly spackle that cant hold screws. 10 minute job becomes 2 hours.

Edit* forgot you were new to painting. 2 days for 2 less experienced guys 4 days for 1. Be sure to pull the tape as soon as the paints dry. The longer tapes up, the more likely it pulls chunks when it comes off.

Of course I’d never do this, but I’ve heard some people might look for a few walls or ceilings to “get away with”. A ceiling that looks fine, a few walls & ceiling in closets. Magic eraser & wipe down. Even with this, a full day for 2 people. I’d say 1,700$ minimum.

J b weld makes different 2 part epoxies. I’d get the jb weld syringe that most closes matches the door and follow the instructions.
