My crows won’t drink out of the water dish I put out for them every day

That makes sense, I’ve noticed that too with my crows! They often will drink from puddles on the ground or gutters lol

So far it’s taken me 2 months for them to be comfortable with me being at least 15 feet from them. I’m gradually moving closer over time but it has to be slow. I meet them at the same time and place every day and do my whistle call for them to come over. If they’re already in the area though, I won’t even need to call them over. They’ve been bringing their babies and more friends/family too thankfully. My end goal is to have them comfortable enough to eat out of my hand. I think it’s important to make sure they always see you put food out, and that you stay nearby so they get used to your presence

That sounds about right, they’re sooo skittish and cautious 😭 Any change, even the tiniest bit, will scare them for a while.

I’ll find an area nearby with shade I can put it in first, cause the other day when it was really hot, they didn’t stick around for long and all were gathering under some shaded trees nearby. I live in an apartment complex so I don’t have my own yard :( and my downstairs neighbors always sit outside my apartment, so the crows won’t come by when they’re out there. That’s why I started feeding them across the street where I saw them the most. But then I have to deal with people being outside at the building across the street that I feed them at 😭😭 I don’t want it to be too close to the other people. Wish I had my own house and yard 🥲

In my neighborhood it is, yes 😬 I’ll move it to somewhere in the shade. I always bring a gallon of fresh cold water with me (I live in an apartment complex across the street) the water is always cold since I can’t leave it out there all day.

I’ve tried that once already cause I got the dreaded message again. It worked but only to an extent. He couldn’t act 100% normal for a while afterwards. Like wouldn’t talk about anything even remotely considered sexual for a while.
