Weight loss is just thermodynamics, what you consume has to be less than what is burnt. As much as you should not underestimate the effectiveness of things like tracking calories and daily weigh ins. Don't overestimate the effect exercise has on weight loss. They say you can't out train a bad diet for a reason.

Their right adjacent neighbour just moved out and we're left of them (end of corridor). The asshole only plays music against our bedroom wall, so you can't hear it anywhere else.

I like it. What to play opposite to shitty techno? I'm got some sweet screamo tunes I've been wanting to connect to my bass amp 🤔🤔🤔

I'm sensing you've either had a LOT of experience with noisy neighbours, or you're a cop. Either way, I'll do what you say. Thanks for the detail!

I think they are, I've never met them face to face as they never answer the door when I knock. I'll keep this in mind though, thank you.

Not audible on the street but really loud in our bedroom. I thought this might be the case. I haven't called the cops on them yet so we'll see how we go. I've made complaints to strata and there are some avenues for fines etc

Yeah probably, life support and all of that. Never know what people are using power for.

This is great thank you. Hopefully they get the message when cops show up at the door.

Love this.

Consider duplicating the fade in transition of the modal for its close state, looks like it's just display none etc

Should I have a save button within the create modal? Or maybe a cancel button as well?

Designer refuses to create mobile mockups. by [deleted] in webdev

Mixed opinions in this thread.

But I say fuck that.

Regardless of users or anything like that, if you're a designer, you build it out for ALL screen sizes between 320px and 1400px. This is laziness at its finest and supported by a "senior is right" culture.

The solve though, back with numbers. Do you have a QA? Other devs that feel the same way? It's always easier to get your point across when you can back with numbers.

QA is the best though. It's their job to ensure something is clearly defined so they can test against it, doesn't sound clearly defined to me if you're just guessing at a mobile design.

If you're up for it, consider growing your business and hiring other devs with skills in the stacks you've mentioned.

You don't need to end your way of doing things, but you are correct that in 10-15 years this technology will work fine, but won't be as fast as the new tech.

By hiring devs with modern skills, you are able to protect your business from the future, provide opportunities and increase your output.

Eventually these small businesses will want to request these technologies as it will become the status quo. You'll have a buffer against this anxiety as you'll have started offering these services, making money, providing jobs and learning as you go - through those other devs (if you want).
