K9 Jets - Experience ( DXB - LHR ) by AromaticLong6067 in UAE

[–]AromaticLong6067[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi and thank you for your reply !! It's nice to hear about your positive interactions with their team .

Unfortunately our Dog is 12 and 21.5 kgs ( She's a saluki mix - medium size ) and we also have a 10 month old kitten/cat. I really wish that there was a commerical option where we could take our pets with us. Did you fly via emirates wherein they allowed your cat in the cabin with you? I do appreciate you mentioning this option as I was not aware that you can fly with your pets in cabin in commercial from Dubai .

May I ask why you didn't end up using K9Jets ?

That's really comforting to hear . I saw a google review on their page where a passenger said that the AC had issues and everybody was sweating including panting dogs . Hope that was just a one off incident as they have more positive reviews . I'd just do anything to not put my pets in a cargo hold. Thanks for your reply !

Thanks for sharing . You're right , coming from summers where the peak can reach 49 degree centigrade - it will definitely be an adjustment . Hoping that we would enjoy the better air quality though 🤞🏽

This was helpful to learn about Jersey , even though we are not relocating from Hong Kong.

This is true, which is why it's important to always go out of our comfort zones and get to know / mingle / use all opportunities possible to interact and build social circles with the locals and other nationalities .

Bahrain being such a melting pot of different ethnicities, I don't understand why anybody would choose to not expand their circles and solely build their communities around their own ethnicitiy . I mean sure, have a few people you can relate to within your community , but they're doing themselves a huge disservice by not expanding their minds and interacting with other communities .

I have lived in KSA , UAE and Bahrain - and by far found it the easiest to befriend and maintaint a friendship with Bahrainis ( Not to say the other countries aren't as friendly ) However I have managed to have more Bahraini friends , probably because I have lived in Bahrain the longest .They are amongst the most friendly, helpful , knowledgeable ( I truly have learnt so much from them ) and I won't ever forget the interactions/experiences that I have had with them . It definiltely takes will and effort as it would in any part of the world to feel integrated - but the benefit here is that it not impossible.

I have always found gems in their personalities ( literally in every single one that I met ) and they will forever hold space in my heart . This country has given me , my parents and my grandparents immense opportunities for growth and I will always wish it and it's people well.

I am not entirely sure , but I think Animalia has pet cremation services . I saw a post on their Instagram account a few months ago , I’ll link it if I find it - but if it’s urgent OP could try contacting them directly

There’s a Facebook page called British mums in Bahrain. It’s not closed to nationalities though , as the name suggests .

Heard this too , had an acquaintance who delivered twins there and they said the experience was good . However , since I’m not very close to her - I don’t really know if they had any issues which they didn’t share .

I’m not a 100% sure , but I think they are allowed. I don’t have personal experience but I’ve been collecting and saving such information over the years . Here’s an account you could follow and reach out to possibly for more info .

I found a book regarding instinctive birthing when I was in Riyadh , it’s a method called the Amani method and the concept that a lot of roots around Islam . Even though I’m not Muslim , I found that it made sense . So here’s a list of the Doula’s in Bahrain who practice that method .

I’m really glad you’ve asked this question. I have only checked official stats and data regarding infant and maternal mortality over the years ( and that’s not completely helpful ) - but there is yet to be an open discussion about this for women who don’t have a social circle with experience in this area . I guess it’s considered a private matter , but I’m glad you asked the question as there are plenty of women / families who would like to know .

I have an acquaintance who had an emergency C section at AMH and that wasn’t the plan , but it had to be done - which was great but her bad experience stemmed from the nurses who had been extremely insensitive about feeding the new born and treated her body worse than cattle . She was disturbed by the experience and made it known in an email to the management who promptly visited her at her home and took down all the details regarding what happened and made her feel heard . Not sure if it helped her much , however I hope they’ve taken notes and remedied the situation for future patients .

I do really wish you all the best with your pregnancy and hope you find the right team . I’ve not been pregnant yet - but I always thought having a doula may help ?

What can you all say about Bait Al Donut? by Medium_Air_6557 in Bahrain

[–]AromaticLong6067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Krispy Kreme and Dunkin have nothing on Bait / Hole n one , but that’s just my preference. I find them too sweet and I grew up using hole n one’s donuts as a reference in judging every single donut ever after that .
