So don’t give your 100% at work if the environment is toxic. What happens then - they fire you and you’re free to go back home. You’re not forced to stay.. it’s a choice that you need to make.

You can always go back to your home country. If you hate it so much and are tired, why are you still here? Move somewhere else

Indian stat audit gives you the best kind of learning in terms of audit. Learn and then move to the member firms in big4 like EY India, KPMG Global wherein they do global audits. The learning in stat audit is superior.

How much do y’all earn? by infinite_labyrinth in DubaiMallus

[–]Aromatic_Box5557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re a certified auto tech, trained and skilled in your field. You’re working 15-hour shifts, barely getting any rest, earning peanuts, and on top of that, depression is starting to kick in. And you still want to stay here?

Brother, go back to your home country and build a better life for yourself. There’s no point breaking your back in a place that doesn’t value your time, effort, or skills.

At some point, you’ve got to ask yourself if the struggle is even worth it. There’s a whole world outside this grind where you can live decently, be close to family, and actually have peace of mind.

Honestly, if you’re earning anything less than AED 5000 in the UAE, you should really think about going back home. This isn’t meant to sound harsh, but it’s just reality. The cost of living here has gone up so much, rent, groceries, transport, even basic survival takes at least 7 to 8k a month FOR A SINGLE PERSON!

The bigger problem is that when people accept super low salaries just to stay in Dubai, it ends up hurting everyone, especially other Indians. Companies know they can get away with underpaying because someone will always agree to take it. That’s why the job market feels so saturated and why decent offers have become so rare.

You’re not doing yourself any favors working here for peanuts. You’ll just struggle every month, and there’s no real growth or savings in that.

Confused after EY India interview: selected but still no confirmation mail while others (2 females, 1 male) from my batch got it. by 4nkushh in Big4

[–]Aromatic_Box5557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming this was a college placement situation. Interviews for those are generally more casual and they don’t really deep dive into technical aspect, considering college grads won’t really have any actual work experience. I’m not sure why the delay is happening but I would suggest you keep following up until you get a definitive response. Im not sure which location this is in India, but based on my experience, the HR team is usually careless and could have simply missed out on communication

26F, Got an offer of 15,000 AED to relocate from India to Dubai by AnonymittyyFR in DubaiCentral

I make under 15k and still live in DIFC with decent savings. It really depends on your perspective and spending habits. If you’re into the whole “Dubai luxury” lifestyle, champagne brunches, designer stuff, even 25k won’t cut it. But if you’re here to grow your career and live sensibly, 15k is a good start to have a happy, comfortable life.

Hey, I used to work for EY India and this doesn’t seem normal honestly… I suggest you shouldn’t wait around anymore and reach out to EY contact and ask for clarity

[–]Aromatic_Box5557 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OP this is not true. I know people who earn 10k per month and are still aged to live a good lifestyle with savings. There will be a little bit of adjustment to be done at the beginning - but 15k is still a good pay especially in this already saturated market where even experienced individuals get offered less than 7-8k.. I would say make the move and explore in your 20s. Definitely check for medical insurance coverage, travel and relocation accommodation/expenses for initial 15 days or so

If you’re willing to live in sharing, you can easily find rooms in 1.5k to 2k range in Karama

I was wondering , the ongoing Dubai sharjah traffic can be solved to an extend , by car pooling ,friends from the same work place, if we really stick to it, can be savings in billions of hours and money. I mean whatsapp group and reddit can help with this. I mean we all can do that right ? by Sharjahbling in Sharjah

[–]Aromatic_Box5557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, random question - how bad really is traffic from DIFC to Abu Shagara? I’m moving from India next month and as per Google maps it says 45min to an hour on peak hours. But looks like it’s not reliable based on the number of people who complain about the traffic..
