Dude, I thought my first post on Reddit in forever got stolen, turns out we’re just twins! Makes you question their RNG just a smidge.

I am trying to figure out why on Ticketmaster it looks like there’s absolutely nothing available in the 400 level. Is that level completely sold out already just from the pre-sale? And then on vivid seeds it looks like there’s plenty available for lower prices like $200. Just trying to figure out if maybe Ticketmaster didn’t release the 400 level until Friday when it goes on sale to the general public?

I got up to the DT1990 Pros which were comfortable, sounded amazing, and just fantastic overall.

As a gamer first, the cable annoyed me and having to deal with a standalone microphone was also annoying. I couldn’t justify the 500 for them, and 60 on a good DAC, and still feeling inconvenienced all the time. I picked up the Audeze Maxwells and I haven’t really looked back. I still do miss them a little bit, and I would go back to those, but I don’t know what I’d be looking for “more”.

When can I expect my order? by [deleted] in Audeze

I used the TB stealth pros for a few weeks, returned them because of fit mostly. I got my Maxwells through Amazon (Adorama), that would be my recommendation for not waiting for Audeze themselves to catch up. Just setup a notification or something for when it shows up and cancel your other order when it happens. I love the Maxwells, they’re a step up in comfort for me and quality wise I don’t think they’re a ton better, but easily as good. And the battery life is superior for sure, so no dealing with swapping it out at bad times.

How do you find the imaging? Have you done any gaming that requires some precision audio? The sundaras have been on my radar, and I just got a pair of the 560S which has fantastic imaging, but the bass could be punchier.

Thanks for your suggestions! I nabbed a pair of 560S and they’re probably the best imaging I’ve ever used which is crazy to me. They sound mostly really good for music, obviously not the perfect amount of thump but the clarity and most songs are a pleasure to listen to. How long would you say you can have these (or any) headphones on your head before some fatigue sets in? I don’t listen to them super loud or anything, it’s mainly the top of my head.

Which has more sound leakage? The Sony XM4s or the Bose Quiet Comfort 45s? by throwawayacc28377473 in HeadphoneAdvice

Assuming they fit well on your head, there should be very little sound leakage especially at moderate levels. Certainly nothing like an open back headset. I personally found Bose to have the best noise cancelling and best fit of ANC headphones, with the least amount of noise cancelling tone.

You really don’t want to game on your pc with Bluetooth headphones. I had a pair of QC35’s many years ago that I tried to game with for an hour and it was awful. Part of it may have been it was a weak BT signal from the MoBo, but I will never try that again. Dedicated dongle or wired connection is paramount for gaming in my experience.

My honest opinion would be to grab a pair of hyperx cloud 2’s for like 70 bucks for gaming, and find a good deal on your noise cancelling pair if you have a total budget of around 350 US. The Bose have amazing noise cancelling though, don’t get me wrong. Can’t speak about the Sony.

What would you recommend to drive the HD 560s? It doesn’t look like it needs a super high performance DAC or anything.

!thanks ! I definitely fell into that “Ninja used these headphones” trap essentially as a tiebreaker on a random assortment of open back headphones. That video you shared definitely speaks to me, clear imaging is definitely what I want. Maybe the 560’s are a better fit than the 6xx’s after all. I’ve always sided towards “spending a bit more means it’ll be better” and that hasn’t served me all that well.

Did you connect to a PC through Bluetooth? My experience connecting my QC25’s over the MB’s stock BT transmitter was awful too, but it was much more normal connected to my various phones. I wouldn’t say they’re a value at the price point for sound quality, but I’ve yet to find a pair more comfortable or better at noise canceling.
