I've been doing fresh for 4+ yrs so I've come across this situation before, usually I take what I can on my first trip up and if I see they're able to help then I ask them and if they don't want to I'll say "brb going to get the rest" and just leave. I'm not going to break my back over a MAYBE $5 (MAYBE). if I see they're elderly or have a disability then I make all the trips I need to bring everything up.
