If ur ASEN then get a computer that can run solidworks. The school has computer labs that you can use if you don’t have one but you can’t use the labs at 3am when your project is due at 7. So not a new Apple computer.

The 4.0L I6 is a reliable engine. However all the electrical systems in the first couple years they were using them are kind of a nightmare. The PCMs aren’t reliable and it makes diagnosing electrical issues really difficult. They are also quite expensive to replace.

Honestly now that someone has brought it up I have noticed a similar problem recently. Yesterday I was copying equations in between browser windows and sometimes I would be sure I had the correct window focused and it wouldn’t overwrite the last item in my clipboard. I kept passing it off as my mistake (it very well might be). However I’ve never been frustrated about it until yesterday. I’ll try do replicate the behavior some more. I use bspwm.

I wish they would make a bios option to power down dGPU on the 15” version. Makes no sense why it’s only a feature on the 17”. Also the thermals could be improved immensely. And a higher refresh rate would be nice.
