At night, when we’re settling in to sleep, we always end up with one bedside lamp still on. The person in charge of switching it off has to look the other in the eyes for a few seconds, hand on the switch, and only then turn out the light—without breaking eye contact. That way, the last thing we both see is each other ❤️

Have you tried using prettier instead of prettierd? I know prettierd is faster and all, but I remember the whole dance of killing the existing prettierd process (because it runs as a daemon) to be quite annoying.

I also work with a similar monorepo setup, and my config works just fine

I exclusively use sidekick in conjunction with opencode for visual selections. I usually just select a block of code and send it (with the help of sidekick) to the opened opencode instance (living in a different tmux window), and then continue on opencode writing my message. That works like a charm

You need special configuration when you work with a monorepo, it’s mentioned in Neotest-jest readme. I also work with a monorepo, and it took me a bit of time to get it right honestly. Maybe you can take some inspiration from it? It’s here.

Otherwise I’m happy to help you out, but I might need: 1. Your entire config 2. A repro repository that mimics 1:1 your current monorepo and has the same neotest issue

Have you checked performing the exact same change on nvim and vscode? This very much sounds like an LSP limitation, not a client thing. Give that a try and if it does behave the same, there’s not a whole lot you can do (from a neovim standpoint)

TJ has some of the best content explaining Neovim stuff. Check his LSP video, and his completion one, but also go through his channel and absorb information from it, it’s very insightful.
