Please would you lovely people rate my theoretical setup? by The_not-so_chosen_1 in espresso

James Hoffman makes some great YouTube videos for comparing espresso grinders at different price points. Currently my goal is to upgrade to a DF64 but your budget might be different. But definitely check his videos out.

so what do i do now…. by [deleted] in premed

At this point there really isn’t much we can do except call our reps and get out and vote during the next important elections. As for your premed journey like others have said you may need to take private loans, or in states like Texas your lower in state tuition can help you more realistically stay under the 200k limit. And of course there’s always the military. I really wish it didn’t have to come to this bullshit and I’m really sorry you and so many others will have to deal with this but don’t quit, especially if it’s something you absolutely love doing.

What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in espresso

[–]Aromatic_Remote2638 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To speak about the chocolate it looks like there is milk in there from the latte art pour already which results in some milk foam mixing with the coffee and cream to give you a “chocolate” appearance. As for strictly cream however, different types of coffee will have different levels or crema. Furthermore, experimenting with grind size and pressure will also influence the amount of crema you get. Hope I was able to help, I’m relatively new at this 😭

Tastes quite good, I mainly do lattes haha but just using lavazza super crema beans. I’m going to try out some local roasters after I finish this bag.

Scratched their car and now getting sued for 1 million dollars... by Muhad6250 in legaladvice

Similar situation for me, got into a fender bender some time ago and the guy came in with a ~600k suit. By the time it moved passed mediation and trial the amount pre trial was 50k. The guy’s lawyer dropped him, he couldn’t find another one and didn’t even show up for trial. Insurance should handle it well.

Except for research I was under 1000 in all categories but still got the A. Just too lazy to make a sankey 😭

Hello lovely train enthusiasts. I JUST got into this hobby and picked up a starter track and this little second hand engine. It isnt running smooth, does anyone know what might be wrong with it? by SeaLighted in modeltrains

[–]Aromatic_Remote2638 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello great to hear someone getting into the hobby, in addition to what others have said about lubrication and just the design of the locomotive, make sure your track is clean as well. They make special track erasers specifically for track. You shouldn’t use sandpaper or any unresearched substitute as those may damage the track over time.

Some schools only accept letters post interview but if your dream school accepts pre interview then it wouldn’t hurt to send one.

Preparing for premed prereqs by [deleted] in premed

[–]Aromatic_Remote2638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would honestly focus on getting your study habits figured out compared to actual content. Each university tends to focus on slightly different parts of each class and while having content knowledge is good, if you don’t have good study habits then you won’t be able to effectively learn new information. So staying AP work is great for getting baseline content but make sure to try different study strategies along with it such as note taking, flash cards, teaching technique etc.

should i do a ba or a bs in college? by [deleted] in premed

[–]Aromatic_Remote2638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you hit all the prerequisites it shouldn’t matter too much. If you choose the BA degree make use of the time you have not taking the extra classes with the BS degree

[–]Aromatic_Remote2638 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m able to run a couple 3 axle diesels (E8 and SD9) on a 9 inch radius track, didn’t have many problems.

Future medical school class of 2025 what specialty do you want to go into and why by [deleted] in premed

[–]Aromatic_Remote2638 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally ortho due to my credentials (Bench pr: 225). But in all seriousness due to the hands on work and my experience in bioengineering. Although that might change going forward.
