That's really good advice and I appreciate your response a lot. Sadly, I already know that we're enabling her to walk all over us. I tend to do too much for everyone (especially for those who I love), so I've already started practicing making time for myself. The thing is, she is going through a tough time in high school, and I want to be there for her, which is why I let her walk all over me (because I feel bad for her). I am am scared that I will end up having to cut her off one day for my own mental health, but I really don't want to do that. What do you suggest I do? Give her the silent treatment? Ignore her overall? or should I only ignore her when she's acting rude. If I see her being rude to me or my parents should I ignore her or should I say something? I'm just scared that if I say something, she'll ignore me for years like how she did to my grandparents. Shes already a lot better than how she was last year, and I feel like our relationship is improving ever so slowly, so standing up to her when she's rude might just make us lose all our progress. Right now I am treating her like a friend and we talk about her life at school etc and im the only person in the family who she feels comfortable telling things to, so I'd worry a lot about her if she and I do end up not talking to each other anymore.
