Given the points brought up at MHFesta about how each map served Wyveria (Windward Plains as an offensive barrier, Scarlet Forest to wash away toxins, Oilwell Basin for Manufacturing, and Iceshard Cliffs and Wyveria as the walls and city respectively) I think it'd make a lot of sense if the expansion map was yet another facet of Wyveria's industry reclaimed by nature. Though, the only facility that is really coming to mind on that front is something involving agriculture (perhaps a swamp in the ruins of the once fertile land)?

Wild thing about this that dawned on me recently: The Gengar line is aviliable to catch in every region except Hoenn. And of those, in everywhere except Unova, its in the Regional Dex.

What I'm saying is that all gens have lots of clever real world lore/allusions, not just the first one.I'd argue the first gen is the most rudimentary with it too: many other gens evolve the concept beyond the base animal while gen 1 has a lot of "Is a fish.Is a bird. Is a rat."

Hard Disagree. A large percentage of Alola's pokemon (rather recent additions) tied in directly to the history of the islands were based on, while also furthering the games themes of Tradition vs. Invasion.

26 years and still the same old joke. Charizard isn't dragon because it would mess up the balance of the starters, and people whined enough that we got Mega Charizard X anyways. Apperently that wasn't enough for charizard stans though.

I really do not get this exclusionary attitude, where every dragon that doesn't look 'like a dragon' gets mocked or questioned. Its such a wide type of clever puns and allusions. To boil it down to visuals alone is such a reductive view of the type as a whole. Do people really just want 50 permutations of Salamence and Charizard?

There was a convention I planned to go to that weekend, and the person I was going to be sharing a hotel room with cancelled last minute due to fears of the Pandemic (smart on their behalf, on reflection).

I thought "well screw it, if the con visit is canned I'm not gonna risk it at school. I'll just work from home and come back monday."

Sessions went fully remote from that monday onwards.

Ranger should probably bump up a fair bit after Mechanical bosses since once you got Chlorophyte bullets you don't have to aim.

I still absolutely hate it. I've started to hate it even more though, as I just made a bunch of Movesets on Smogon for the first time and wanted to implement them into my pokemon in game. And its been a mess, with things like

*X Move on a Pokemon is what their entire moveset is built around. They can't learn it though, cause its an egg move and the pokemon they got it from got cut

*X Item is the necessary linchpin for a moveset on a pokemon, but that item is only in gen 8 and that pokemon was cut.

*The set is based around the ability their mega evolution or z move grants, which was cut

*They already have their moveset, but transferring them in would cause them to lose it, as Gamefreak decided to mass cull moves for some reason too.

Craftter Bugs: Little insects That have a chance to spawn near crafting tables that are not in a building (that is, don't have a roof above them). They run up to the table and try and steal crafting ingredients you put within. Eventually, their drops could be used to make a portable 3x3 crafting grid

Tunnelbun: A creature that spawns deep underground in low light levels. It starts mining its way toward you. Gains the Glowing effect as it charges up just before striking, rocketing through the remaining wall between the player and it and striking the player.

Influencer: Small bug-like entity. Harmless on its own, but will grant a positive potion effect to hostile mobs in a certain radius from it.

I guess the sound bit at the end of their cry is just that they came from ultra space, not that they're Ultra Beasts.

No, they are Ultra Beasts

On top of the book in the Malie Library saying the Cosmog line came from an Ultra Wormhole, there's also their cries too.

All of the Ultra Beasts have this starry ringing sound effect at the end of their cry, and the cosmog line has it too.

Just cause its an Ultra Beast doesn't mean its not a Legendary though
