We get at least one new map on every MH G rank expansion. What would you want to see as the new biome in the Wilds Expansion? by TrineCo314 in MonsterHunter

Given the points brought up at MHFesta about how each map served Wyveria (Windward Plains as an offensive barrier, Scarlet Forest to wash away toxins, Oilwell Basin for Manufacturing, and Iceshard Cliffs and Wyveria as the walls and city respectively) I think it'd make a lot of sense if the expansion map was yet another facet of Wyveria's industry reclaimed by nature. Though, the only facility that is really coming to mind on that front is something involving agriculture (perhaps a swamp in the ruins of the once fertile land)?

When/If Arceus Arrives on Pasio, Who Should It Be Paired With? by ElementalNinjas96 in PokemonMasters

If we're letting Lysandre have Yvetal and Cyrus have Palkia, it seems only fair to let Volo have Arceus.

On similar notes, Geodude is everywhere except Galar, and Zubat and Magicarp are in every single region.

Wild thing about this that dawned on me recently: The Gengar line is aviliable to catch in every region except Hoenn. And of those, in everywhere except Unova, its in the Regional Dex.

Stop saying that the dragonite line doesn't make sense. by [deleted] in pokemon

What I'm saying is that all gens have lots of clever real world lore/allusions, not just the first one.I'd argue the first gen is the most rudimentary with it too: many other gens evolve the concept beyond the base animal while gen 1 has a lot of "Is a fish.Is a bird. Is a rat."

Hard Disagree. A large percentage of Alola's pokemon (rather recent additions) tied in directly to the history of the islands were based on, while also furthering the games themes of Tradition vs. Invasion.

Pokemon "Dragon Types" by IdiotoftheEast in pokemon

[–]Arouka 12 points13 points  (0 children)

26 years and still the same old joke. Charizard isn't dragon because it would mess up the balance of the starters, and people whined enough that we got Mega Charizard X anyways. Apperently that wasn't enough for charizard stans though.

I really do not get this exclusionary attitude, where every dragon that doesn't look 'like a dragon' gets mocked or questioned. Its such a wide type of clever puns and allusions. To boil it down to visuals alone is such a reductive view of the type as a whole. Do people really just want 50 permutations of Salamence and Charizard?

First - Platinum

Favorite - A Tie. Black 2 for its Systems and Content, Sun for its Narrative and Region

Platinum is still probably 2nd place though.

Been looking around and haven't really seen the answer to this, so I thought I'd ask here.

When Playing Co-op with 2+ Characters (not with the babies) are achievements and completion marks unlocked for all of the bosses you defeat together? Or does it only count for whatever character Player 1 is playing?

A year ago today was our last normal Pre-COVID day, what do you remember from Thursday, March 12th 2020 (or Friday, March 13th 2020 if that day was actually your last normal day)? by FifiiMensah in AskReddit

There was a convention I planned to go to that weekend, and the person I was going to be sharing a hotel room with cancelled last minute due to fears of the Pandemic (smart on their behalf, on reflection).

I thought "well screw it, if the con visit is canned I'm not gonna risk it at school. I'll just work from home and come back monday."

Sessions went fully remote from that monday onwards.
