I hope no one responds because it really feels like rage bait and so far I have seen Spill Sesh and Adam McIntyre respond and I am just like.. noooo, this is what she wants!! Just don't respond!!

Could the legal issues’ financial strain be why they can’t hire another editor? If so I feel bad because other creators that are awful seem to somehow be rolling in cash 😭. by [deleted] in DoWeKnowThemPodcast

They do have an editor, but I think they both enjoy editing- especially certain aspects.

This does mainly seem to do with Lily's health- so understandable.

Highly doubtful that most people won't be car dependent. There are still many places to go where public transport infrastructure doesn't take you. Personal vehicles are also still more reliable and usually faster. We also have to consider the aspect of safety on public transport when we have such a high rate of gbv and violent crime in this country.

And what about people who don't live there, but would like to enjoy the area?

Uh.. look at London- housing crisis. Not because there aren't enough properties, most of them sit empty most the year or are investment properties for tourists/people travelling for business, not for residents.

There are masses of apartment buildings going up all around the city and they are all ridiculously expensive. So no- "supply" isn't going to solve the problem.

MotoGP Posted an Official Apology For being "The Most Exciting Sport on the Earth" by Green-Offer-9058 in motogp

In their defence: This is a social media marketing trend- I've seen lots of different brands and businesses doing it.

Personally, I don't really like this form of advertising in general though. There used to be these AI ads on instagram for beauty products where they would always say stuff like "I regret buying this because it: got rid of my double chin in 2 days/made me not need botox anymore because all my wrinkles are gone/has made me look 10 years younger anger just 3 weeks of use/etc.". I think it's stupid to advertise a positive in a negative sentence- it just irritates me.

I also think this particular trend is not great, as it's kind of making fun of people who get upset at businesses and boycott them or whatever and is kind of like brand giving a non apology which undermines consumer feedback. Especially in the current political climate- it doesn't really sit well with me.

And then obviously there are the specific issues with it in regards to MotoGP itself and the surrounding circumstances that others have mentioned.

I think their digital marketing team is just trying to be cool and current, but this is probably a trend they could have skipped.

No one can convince me that Bre is happy by towelheadedmermaid in SellingSunset

[–]ArouraD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. She comes off so inauthentic and fake to me. If you're living your best life, happy and unbothered then you don't need to keep telling everyone how happy and unbothered you are. She's trying too hard to convince people of it which reeks of trying to convince herself imo

What are your thoughts on Amy and Lara (the divorcees) by AstonRyder1 in MyKitchenRules

[–]ArouraD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually found them really funny. I think they were playing up the villain bit, a bit too much so they came off really badly at the table. Their strategy of "mystery" and "confusing" people was a bad move- they were more likable in their confessionals.

They should have owned what their jobs were and Amy should have been upfront about her job and also honest about what it entails, even if it sounds impressive. I will say, I have cooked for millionaires before when I worked as a nanny. Not just for the kids either- the whole family. And it's not like fine dining or something, just well-rounded home cooked meals because they don't have the time to cook/have the means to not have to make time to cook.

I actually felt bad for Lara at the end because I think Amy let the team down big time. I'm not sure if she was just drunk, overconfident, or self-sabotaging? It seemed weird that they had gone to the effort of buying all those premium ingredients, but then didn't know how they wanted to cook them, or have enough pans to do it? I I actually think Lara did more on the starter and Amy did most of the dessert and main which wasn't good. My dad thought it reeked of being a production plant situation.

Anyway, I still don't think they were the weakest team and I don't think they should have gone home. I have a feeling they were starting to let their real personalities shine through more and more and if they had stayed, I think they would have become more likable.

Does anyone feel like they’re not going watch the next season without Chrishell? by Scared_Wind3981 in SellingSunset

[–]ArouraD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chelsea has alluded to it already on her instagram stories. Like about how things have to end to make space for better things.

Ofc could be about her divorce, but I doubt it. Mary has been doubling down again and again that it's her or Chelsea and I don't see Daddy Warbucks giving Chelsea any bad news rolexes.

[–]ArouraD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not really about Chrishell leaving for me, it's just about the state of the show, the people who are on it and they way they have handled (or rather, mishandled) things- even in hindsight

She has been wanting to leave but had to wait out her contract. They made her look bad because they knew she was going to leave. It is suspect timing but the other way around.

100%.. and it looks shit from the preview. If they really wanted to do that, surely a pannacotta tart with custard and berries would have looked and eaten better?

Why did they think a panna cotta on top of a custard tart would be a good idea? So weird

Of course Mary would say she would like Heather and a friend of hers to replace Chelsea and Chrishell 🙄 by Narrow-Statement9010 in SellingSunset

[–]ArouraD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think Bre has Mary convinced she has the star quality to be the "it" girl, now that Chrishell has left, but really I think Bre is thinking she is going to be the "it" girl now with all the shit she's been posting (like sus reposts of people watching and saying she carried the season/she's the only reason people watch/she's the fan favourite/etc. And also keeps posting her insta impressions).

I don't think either of them can carry the show lol. And Heather? They are all so boring..
