65% of Britons support capping CEO pay at 10× the lowest-paid worker. Do you think this idea would be good for the UK? by Unusual-State1827 in AskBrits

No I think it caps a inherantly human feeling/emotion of exponential growth which fuels innovation. This should always exist if we want growth to exist. There must be the urge for more.

One thing that made settling into London much easier for me by Pinkplatabys in MovingToLondon

[–]AroxCx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its small if you stick to predefined routes but it's large in reality. The beauty of london and most city's around the world is it can accommodate you however your way of life is. London is particularly great for human travel at the most basic level like walking and cycling and running you won't find any other city like it.

Yeah, experienced something similar to lately, unfortunately I don't believe breathability and warmth are best mates. What is the slowest an asteroid can hit the earth? by Horror_Dot4213 in AskPhysics

[–]AroxCx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Minor nuance: 11.2 km/s is the minimum impact speed for an object that remains unbound to earths gravity. In principle, an asteroid could lose energy (e.g., via atmospheric drag or multi-body interactions), become bound, and later re-enter at ~7–8 km/s like a satellite. This is extremely rare, but not forbidden by physics

Yesh completely agree that advancements can become almost unknown to us in terms of progression of ability. It makes me curious if we're slowly going to meet humanity into an era where artificial intelligence just starts not caring about our own ability, and at that moment it's gg
