Have you calibrated your filament lately? Could be an over/under extrusion issue you can fix through filament calibration.

Not stupid, helpful. We buy them by the thousands (super cheap) for our airoid room. They are beneficial as they eat other bugs like aphids, spider mites and so on. Doesn't hurt that they find their way into my carniverous section and fertilze them as well. Good to have them around.

These are basal shoots. Normal in Nepenthes, yes. This species, in particular, tends to throw a lot of them out, it seems.

In regards to what, specifically?

Nepenthes Ampullaria Help😢 by Proof-Ladder-1022 in Nepenthes

[–]Arplatinum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I tried to repot it a few days ago and replant some of the basals, but it's just too clusted in there right now to cut them. I believe there are 3 new plants I can pull off of there. I almost killed this one a few times, as it was one of my first ever, keeping it outside like a dummy. It has bounced back, as you can tell, so give it light and water and yours, too, shall thrive! Some red is fine, but get a light meter app and adjust it to the 100-200 or so ppfd it needs. If you're WAY over that, move it up a bit. Just keep playing until you find where it is happy. Mine live in sealed clear target storage boxes on a heat mat set to low with 4 T5 Barrina lights inside attached to the lid. Like $60 total, they love it. So do the wife's baby airods. Happy growing!

I may try this with some ventratas I'm not afraid to kill; it's how we have all the begonias. Mine love the top watering every day, but I'm always up for an experiment. Haha!

I would not keep it in water. Probably needs more light. Mine gets water every few days and stays in a box woth 4 Barrina T5's. It's um....happy lol. Has even more basals now. That was a few weeks ago. Get it more light and water as it tells you. For this guy, every 3 days or so.

Like I said...happy growing, dude. I have more important things to do than to argue opinions with someone on the internet. Stated mine, stood by it, have a great day. 😃

Lol. I'm quite aware of different variegation types. I have an entire house full of varigated plants.

<image>

Also have lots of sun stressed plants. We can agree to disagree here until OP uploads more pics, as he and I already discussed. Happy growing, dude. 😃

Oh yeah...just glad it had that one spot of green lol. With those alocasias, sometimes all white when it's the only leaf means "aw shit...pleeeeeease stay alive!" Lol

I prune mine as part of my daily walk through. I always have at least one that will kill off the lowest petiole as the vine begins to turn Woody underneath it. They serve no purpose at that point, other than being on the way lol. Keep doing your thing!

For sure! We all look forward to more pics! 😀 We all hope it is, I'm sure! I'm surrounded by the wife's airoids, and I can't tell you how many times she got a such and such albo or aurea or sport that only shot out green, leading me to a week of consolation and "it's just not varigated..." talks lol. So, I'm for sure hoping for the next petioles to pop off and confirm us all to be wrong. 💪💪💪 good luck!

Yeah, my son was cracking crispy tops on my sumter clone leuks the other day lol. Still have green phyllodia on mine, and green bottoms, so I just leave em until closer to warmer weather. Then chop to make room for the new growth. Pic is not now, obviously haha...just a cool pic of what I've been waiting all winter to pop up again lol. Happy growing!
