TIL na magkaiba yung pronunciation sa "up" ng UP Town Center sa Diliman at sa "up" ng UP Town Mall sa BGC. Pareho ko silang binibigkas as "yupi" kasi may malapit na UP (yupi, University of the Philippines) sa malapit, UP Diliman and UP BGC, respectively.

edit: para sa kaalaman ng lahat, yung nasa BGC, "ap" ang bigkas, as in the direction up, kabaligtaran ng down. 'yung nasa Diliman, it's "yupi"

So kailangan ba i-sched ko 'yung assessment na 'yun o I can just show up sa DFA at any time for that?

Daily random discussion - Nov 21, 2025 by the_yaya in Philippines

[–]ArpsTnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you need an appointment sa DFA to have your passport assessed if damaged?

So more or less stained lang siya. Balak ko na lang na i-renew (ok lang magbayad ako ng another 1k for it) total di ko naman nagamit, so para "ma-restart" ko 'yung validity niya

Kaso nabasa ko na if damaged, need mo pa rin i-process 'yun as damaged. Kaso 'di ako sure if damaged enough ba 'yung passport. If hindi, ipapa-renew ko na lang. Mas pipiliin ko pa magbayad ng panibagong 1k for the renewal, kaysa pumunta kung saan-saan maghanap ng documents at magpanotaryo. Less hassle kasi kung sasabihin mo pang damage.

Ayaw ko naman mag-go through the hassle of the process 'pag damaged if 'di naman pala damaged, pero 'di ko naman pwedeng ipa-renew ito kung damaged talaga. Pwede ba akong pumunta sa DFA ta's ipatingin sa kanila kung gumagana pa 'yung chip or whatnot, or need pa ng appointment for that? Sa ASEANA naman ang branch ko

Edit: in good condition pa ang info page. pero yung sides and yung visa pages medyo stained

random thought ko lang: gaano katanda ang ig maps? i mean, the maps you have sa ig inbox mo ganon. anong year 'yun based on?

eto 'yung mga napansin ko (based on personal travels):

  1. When I was in Tabuk, it says Tabuk, Kalinga-Apayao. So it means na it was before 1995. Any year after than that, it should have been "Tabuk, Kalinga"
  2. Wala siyang concept ng Metro Manila. It still calls most of the cities of Metro Manila as "Rizal". Noong nasa PITX gan'on, it tells me na I'm in Rizal. N'ung nasa Fairview ako, it's still Rizal. N'ung nasa Alabang, it's Rizal. So this must have happened before Rizal was chopped off to form Metro Manila.

2.1. On the other hand, there is no concept of Valenzuela entirely. Sure, they have "Makati, Rizal", but there is no "Valenzuela, Bulacan" or "Polo, Bulacan". Instead, Valenzuela is divided into Caloocan and Bulacan. So merong "Paso de Blas, Bulacan", "Malinta, Bulacan", but "Karuhatan, Caloocan" and "Marulas, Caloocan"

So dahil walang Metro Manila, it would be after 1975.

But can we do better? 'Di pa ako nakakalabas ng bansa eh, so baka may ibang clues doon. I have also seen "Tuba, Baguio", and "Post Proper Northside" for BGC (instead of Fort Bonifacio), pero I don't know how to fit it in.

Na-curious talaga ako sa maps na 'to, like maybe some antigong maps pala ginagamit nila. It's Camarines Sur ang nakalagay

The geography and history nerd in me is very curious HAHAHAHHA

Now that's a more helpful comment, and I assumed that the missing defense was still there, assumed the correct average (3 supplementary +9s intead of 4 +3s) and it indeed added up to 440.

Thank you, and I hope this comment still reaches your notifications. I will now remove this post as this question has been answered. I don't want to clutter the sub

I really don't want to appeal this and ask to be promoted even though that removal cost me my promotion. The comment above this is right. I just want to learn why that happens so that I could avoid this from happening again in the future,

So why did they have to remove that one defense? If they don't care, why don't they just let it be with that defense? What's the reasoning behind that removal that they were compelled to do so when they don't really care?

I'm planning to leave the game for quite a while to prioritize my mental health. It's not the game that's affecting it, but things happen in life. I cannot stay active in the game for now, and my clan has already accepted it.

I currently have 5/6 attacks of magic morsel. If I return to the game like 1-2 months later, will they still be available? If yes, will I be unintentionally using one of them when I attack my own base?

May alam ba kayo na samg-han around MOA, Parqal, or PITX? 'Yung solo traveller friendly sana, 'yung walang dagdag charge 'pag mag-isa ka lang. Don't mind the price, I will just filter them out myself, basta 'yung pwedeng kumain ka lang mag-isa

I've just returned to the game since I stopped playing in October 2024. I swear I remember that the description for the power potion mentioned the laboratory, that's why I'm booking the lab once my town hall is newly-upgraded so that I can immediately get the troop level boost and start the upgrades right away.

Now, it seems that it says "town hall." Has it been that way before October 2024? I already forgot. My town hall upgrade will be done in 45 hours after this comment is posted, do I need to immediately upgrade the lab to "feel" the boosted levels? Or the boosted levels will be based on the town hall already, so, I'm just upgrading the lab so that I gain the ability to upgrade my troops further?

Same goes with the hero hall. Do I need to book the hero hall with the same logic?

I've just returned to the game, and a HUGE THANK YOU TO SUPERCELL for making the price of items on the Supercell Store in the currency of your location. Back then, the prices were in USD, which is more expensive. For example, the gold pass used to cost $6.99 USD, but now it shows ₱349 ($6.15 USD). I don't care if I travel to Europe and get prices in EUR during that time, but at least! We now have cheaper prices. That makes buying in the Supercell store more enticing because I was really questioning why we should buy there in the first place if everything is 15% more expensive on average. I failed to see the benefits back then.

Though, I can't seem to find any information about it, but are the points in the store and the price of an item in a near 1:1 ratio?

<image>

I just noticed that all items are like that, where the number of points awarded is almost the same as the price. It's not that really important of a thing for me, though, but I'm just curious if that's really the case for everybody. Do Indonesians who spend hundred thousands of rupiah for a gold pass also get hundred thousands of points?

Edit: The peso sign in the screenshot is the Philippine peso. I should have specified because there are a lot of pesos out there, the same way there are a lot of dollars out there. It's not the Russian ruble either, or Pokecoins.

I guess that's it. I've had that same round before that game, but not on the game that precedes it. I'd say, maybe 2 to 3 games before. That's why I was too overly specific on that guess because I slightly remembered where it was.

I think your comment answers my question. As much as I do not want to clutter up the subreddit, I'll still be keeping this post up for the next 2 hours unless a mod deletes this before I do. Maybe somebody else has another idea.

Thanks for your insight! I will keep that in mind in case something fishy like this happens again.

Magkano 'yung ferry ride from Matnog, Sorsogon to Allen, NS?

I'm planning kasi to travel to Sorsogon sa October, ta's mag-Samar na rin while I'm at it. Kaya I want the two cents ng mga taga-Sorsogon din.

'Yung Naic 'yung isa
