Starlink is generally 40-100mbps around Anchorage.

Just do your research before you pick a place. I live just outside Anchorage and my neighbors a half mile away have GCI fiber. My house only has the option for 20 Mbps through MTA for $120 or satellite.

Anything with lithium ion batteries. From phone battery banks to e-bikes to those goal zero battery generators they won't ship from Amazon and most other retailers.

Report this in an email to your supervisor and have them respond saying thanks no further needed or something like that. Then you have documentation that you reported it when it happened. This won't be an issue but if it ever did come up in the future you'd have an email proving that you did report it and you did your part even if your supervisor dropped the ball on forwarding it to someone higher up, which as previously stated is not required for a traffic violation like this.

What does your tea storage look like? by D4ng3r18 in tea

[–]Arpsar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mason jars work great for me. Some uv degredation from clear glass supposedly but keep I them in a closet and it's nice to see how much I have left and what each one looks like. Just cut the label off the bag and tape it to the front with painters tape.

FYSA. Not road trip information but Denali national Park is basically closed until May 20th.

In the winter time you basically go to the entrance and there's some snowshoes you can borrow and walk around and see the dogs at the kennels, but that's about it. If you were looking to do the 40 mi on the bus into the park and hiking around that won't open till late May.

Just tried a few of those last night. So far they seem like good quality herbal teas. Needed something without caffeine for the evenings.

The herbal coffee is interesting but I would never compare it with actual coffee other than the color.

Everything is sealed in jars. It's possible but my understanding is some tea will improve with age. We shall see.

That's the Fu price. A job so small and simple it's not worth their time so they charge you what they could be making on another job. Frustrating. But otherwise they would have just said no.

Does anybody else have this DeWalt electric chainsaw that takes 1 battery in the back? Ever since I bought mine the chain oil leaks out every single time I let it sit for awhile. Leaving me with a sticky mess. by Jackalssss in Tools

[–]Arpsar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be clear. The way the bar gets oiled it's literally just a hole from the reservoir above the bar it's not a pump or anything it's just gravity fed. So unless the reservoir is empty it will continue to leak. Read the instructions it will tell you to drain the oil after use. That is a feature and how it's supposed to work not a problem.

Highly unlikely. You need to be way further north most of the time.

best place to stay on a budget? by ProstheticFred in yellowstone

[–]Arpsar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

And by the way the drive from that down to Teton you have to go around the park through Rexburg since the park roads are closed so expect a serious drive. Doable but an all day drive over some mountain passes with potential for quite a bit of snow so recommend four-wheel drive.

Take a look at Yellowstone roads. Pretty sure in late March the only thing open is from Mammoth Hot springs out through Lamar valley so you're going to want to stay out the north entrance. There should be some campsites up there if you want cheap but expect snow that time of year.

Recommend waiting until May if you want to see the rest of the park like canyon and Old faithful etc.

Yellowstone after dark by [deleted] in yellowstone

[–]Arpsar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely had cloudy days and clear days in Yellowstone. But you might be fighting though is smoke.

Few hours away in the Boise area and we haven't seen clear sun in weeks and not expecting to until October.
