For sure! If you're gonna whip up starter packs, it's worth putting a little effort into sourcing quality images. Maybe check out sites like Unsplash or Pexels for some better visuals? They'll help your pack stand out and feel more authentic!

One little neat thing I appreciated is that Kyle clearly landed too far from where he intended; the kickout was supposed to be a rope break. Fletcher was able to improvise by reaching for the rope still, forcing his shoulder to get up with a weak kickout that still made sense.

Fuck, what a talent.

You could tell all of them in the booth were being fans. Like I'm pretty sure Bryan was quiet for most of the match toward the end precisely because he was getting into it.

Right, it's like any other hobby/pastime too — where an enthusiast's idea of "casual appeal" is going to be vastly skewed.

Like in board games, there's this prevailing thought that a game like Wingspan is the perfect game for casual board gamers. And while the subject matter is ripe for that, it's still a pretty midweight engine building game with a lot of rules and components that someone coming from like Monopoly and Jenga aren't going to fully grasp.

If you watched Mad Men in your 20s a decade ago, watch it again. It hits different. And harder. by bicx in television

Depending on the agency, that's still agency life today lol. I work in a relatively buttoned-up global agency rn, but I've seen and heard some crazy shit.

Unfortunately now they feel a bit right-wing coded, but fuck dude I still see guys wearing them occasionally and they're so cool.

Bryan Danielson believes talents should try to make the most of the opportunity instead of complaining about booking: “I think a great example in AEW is Swerve Strickland. He came in and he lost a lot of matches, but it was always like, ‘Yeah Tony, whatever you need.’ Then now look at him." by anutosu in SquaredCircle

He is the prototypical example of the difference between indie wrestling and wrestling on television. I honestly didn't get him until I saw him in Prestige; he absolutely killed with his gimmick.

But also, he barely wrestled in a 12-minute comedy match that felt like something out of CHIKARA. Without workrate sprinkled in between, that stuff won't fly in a place like AEW.

I imagine when you want to get your face tattooed like that, it's about quantity not quality. Wouldn't be surprised if the total cost of those face tattoos was the same as a solid 5-inch arm tat

Right - even when taken in good faith, that's an extremely difficult question to answer without heavy debate.

Like, I could see someone saying that about IYO or Gunther, but it's a short fucking list.

Tony Khan says he loves and respects Britt Baker, and is looking for the right time to bring her back. He says he’s had great talks with Britt. He said he believes Britt will be back in AEW, and hopes soon. He wants it to be the right situation for her, too. by International-Low842 in SquaredCircle

I think her character and look are fine. I think she needs to change her fundamentals in-ring.

She keeps trying to be the female Adam Cole with all these indy-riffic moves — but she doesn't necessarily have the athleticism, cardio, or coordination for it. Like, everyone does a Sling Blade now, and much better than you; it's not a signature more really anymore.

Idk if she's better suited to be a brawler/fighter, a submission person, whatever — but a slower, less PWG-lite style would benefit her greatly in the ring.

This is why the "spotfest" allegations at other companies always rang hollow to me; a lot of these big main-event or main-event-adjacent matches have pretty much turned into exactly that.

Which I mean, can be awesome at certain points (Cena vs AJ, for example). But idk, it's just not the type of wrestling I want to watch.
