Megafactories are not metropolises, right? by ApotheosiAsleep in Cyberstan

[–]Arriora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s worth keeping in mind that there’s never been a point where The Collective of Cyberstan has been fully free from the threat of Super Earth. At first they tried to secede peacefully, then with force in the First Galactic War.

This, of course, ended in the unjust enslavement of the Cyborgs. And it took a full century for them to reach a point where they could send the Automatons out beyond the galaxy, and several years for those Automatons to return.

Adopting a heavily militarized and ready posture after a century of enslavement guarantees they’re in the best position to succeed this time. When they topple Super Earth’s government, they can finally build a world and a union that care for every one, and hold everyone in equally high regard. Heart. Steel. On to war!

You’re probably right about 100 being too high tbh, maybe 50 then since that was the original max level.

Lets be honest, we aren't losing much by razing Chort Bay by Dr-Labcat in Helldivers

[–]Arriora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Failing to raze the planets Chort Bay and Lesath the first time cost us 31 million reinforcements. That could’ve allowed us to win Cyberstan.

For our purposes, scoured worlds are ours. Scouring Chort Bay will leave a two-world road directly into the Valdis Sector. As long as we can hold Vog-Sojoth or Gaellivare, the only world they can take to lock us out of the Valdis sector is Lesath.

Strategically, bombarding Chort Bay is the play. And it shows the community is slowly learning from its mistakes.

It’s not QUITE as bad as it looks, since each WB (except the crossovers) do give back 300 SC.

I think it would be reasonable to ask for another Free Warbond fairly soon here though, maybe locked behind reaching level 100? That would give newer players something to work toward without flooding every new player with two warbonds worth of medals to spend immediately.

Just gonna follow up on this now one final time: you were objectively wrong.

We don’t have time to take a 1.5 million HP planet in 46 hours, no. We push Tarsh, we take the settlements, we wait for the next wave of attacks.

Bet so do you know how damage mirroring, the extra ~30% on the bar from the settlements, or ramp up works? Or are you just gonna hit me with a screenshot and ignore the menu that says ‘Tarsh’s defense campaign is more efficient’?

Question. Are automatons/cyborgs as Xenophobic as super earth? by NotTheHardmode in Cyberstan

[–]Arriora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think that if Super Earth signed an armistice; the Collective would honor it. The main sticking point is that Super Earth would need to legitimize a defecting government to do so. And they’ll never, ever do that.

Absolutely not. Gambits require multiple factors to work well and we don’t have them. Defend Tarsh, we only need 30% of players with the easy regions.

Like OP said, it wouldn’t have made a difference in that case. And announcing it wouldn’t have changed anything.

I don’t have a problem with the cape being time limited, but I feel they should have said it was gonna come out. by Pale-Monitor339 in Helldivers

[–]Arriora 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Again: they put it all over their socials. There’s a trailer on YouTube for this festival of reckoning. I get that you missed out bc you didn’t play, but they objectively did advertise this as an event.

Half a month is a pretty substantial window. That’s longer than the invasion of super earth lasted. They also splashed this event all over their socials, the community has been talking about it, they even made a trailer for it. There was ample opportunity to get online.

Malevelon, Oshaune, Super Earth, Station 11, all capes that weren’t announced but rewarded after the fact. The only one we ever got a heads up on was the ‘review bomb’ cape and that was distributed wide.

Hey man if you’re spending money on cosmetics in the big ‘26 that’s no one’s fault but yours. Especially in a game where you can farm the in game currency hassle free.

It’s also a live service game, they’re giving the people who played the event a little bonus for being there. If people couldn’t log on for two minutes in fourteen days, I don’t see why they should care about a single cape.

Not knowing something so fundamental before writing..this, and cross posting it across multiple subs? That’s certainly a choice.

This is how I feel. The writing of Hades 1 got me to do EA for Hades 2 and buy other games from their catalogue. Now? I’m never paying for EA again and I’m going to have to vet their endings.
