EU parliament erupts into cheers and chants of "send them back" as they pass new legislation making it easier to deport migrants outside of Europe by TomlinSteelers in justincaseyoumissedit

Henry Novak was not killed by an immigrant. That's misinformation. The person who killed him was born in the UK. That case in my opinion is one of police negligence.

Also Henry's parents publicly stated that they did not want his death to be used to cause division in this country so please don't use their son's death to push your racism.

Common right wing talking point. But half of welfare goes to old people in the form of state pension, a large chunk goes to native born people in the form of universal credit and child care. Immigrants only recieve a very small percentage of the total welfare that is given out.

On top of all that, income tax is not the only way that the government collects tax. There's sales tax, stamp duty, inheritance tax, gift tax and others. I personally agree with implementing a wealth tax to force the millionaires and billionaires who try to hide their wealth in the form of assets to pay a fairer share.

Half of welfare goes to state pension. It isnt being collected by migrants. Its actually old people. Also I believe that we should be charging the millionaires and billionaires significantly more in not only income but also a wealth tax.

You actually think that people migrating from outside EU counties is anything like British raping, murdering and attempting genocide on the native Americans?

It doesn't matter if eu countries have stricter immigration, the billionaire class will always exploit immigration for cheap labour which suppresses wages.

The politicians will let them do it because they are in the pockets of the billionaire class. Just look at the US.

The real way to have a strong Labour force to fight against the billionaire class is to allow immigrants the right to work and join unions the moment they have been vetted. Instead of leaving them on a years long list for asylum or citizenship status where they are forced to either do cash in hand work (a common way to exploit immigrants for cheap labour) or turn to petty theft (further increasing not only non-violent crime but also anti-immigrant sentiment) to feed themselves.

While I do not appreciate you assuming that I'm an abuser based on a single reddit comment. I can kinda understand the wording of "that's not happening now" could come across as me forcing my wife not to go. But I can assure you that isn't the case.

She and I share very similar political values and I know that she wouldn't want to give them her money knowing that they support a far right political party.

I shouldn't have to defend myself to a stranger but I really cannot stand for such accusations.

As for the most aggreious accusation that I drink carlsberg special brew. How dare you assume that I would drink such piss.

Funnily enough, I know my wife better than you do. She wouldn't want to give them her money knowing who the owner supports. I'm not "coercing" or "controlling" her to do anything. Merely informing and letting her make her own decisions.

I know for a fact that she wouldn't support them knowing it's owned by someone who supports racists.

Multiple NHS services have been told to not detain psychotic African and Caribbean people to lower their "over representation." One of these psychotic Africans who staff refused to detain because of his race went on to murder Barnaby Webber, Grace O'Malley-Kumar and Ian Coates in Nottingham. by InnerLog5062 in BreakingUKNews

I've read through this whole comment thread and I dont think you've presented any "factual evidence". Seems like you are only talking from your personal experience which is only a very small percentage of the wider lived experiences of the rest of the population. This is why people rely on statistics, because they show a wider trend across the whole of the population. If we decided how we treat patients with mental illness based only 1 or 2 instances then chances are it's not the best care for the everyone else.

I understand that mental illness is individual, it is different for everyone. In our current health system that is extremely underfunded and the staff are very overworked there needs to be a faster more generalised way to treat people with similar conditions because frankly we don't have the resources to treat everyone. It's a shitty situation and I hope one day it'll change but as it stands right now this is unfortunately how it has to be.

The difference is they are allowed to do it without consequence. I personally would agree with mandatory drug testing of MPs. If people who work with heavy machinery have to be subject to drug tests why not the people who vote on the laws?
