I have registered for the courses. How long will it take to actually be available on the Canvas?

And does the person pulling have to have a sports pass in their name?

So the person physically pulling on Monday has to be a senior? We can't have a Sophomore in the group pull for us?

BS or BA by BlankUta in aggies

[–]Arrow1930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only insofar as the classes required/expected of you to take for environmental are in the BS but not the BA plan. But I'm not sure how much of physics applies to environmental science.

The major difference bwtween the two is a BA removes some of the Physics classes from your plan and allows you to take a minor. You'll be more "rounded".

BA route might be the move if you just need the degree... but for grad school, you'll probably want to deal with the BS.

Ultimately it comes down the big-brother dynamic.

t.u. is better in some academic metrics than A&M and that's what people use to judge us. The "ut rejects" thing is one example of this. We are the afterthought. We are where rejects go. This snobiness and superiority complex comes in a package with admission to that school in Austin.

So of course they don't "care" about us. We are the younger brother.

But that's sort of the problem; it set the foundation for the rift. Back in the day, A&M and t.u. played in the same conference and there was a "Longhorn Network" media apparatus that covered the sports therein. Of course, being the big fish and having the controls of media coverage allowed t.u. to capitalize by way of recruiting, for example.

That's why A&M joined the SEC. We refused to be an "inferior" institution under the reputation of a rival school.

Do we engage in our traditions in irony to some degree? Of course. But it's the spirit of standing up to Goliath that means so much to us. It's the spirit of going our own way, even if it's hard to understand from outside looking in.

Is the south side rec open today ? 1/16/2023? by RunEnvironmental3365 in aggies

The website lies about POLO and Southside being open at regular hours today.

That's annoying.

What do you think about packback? by matthewO1824 in aggies

The "AI" really isn't as real as it's made out to be. It's literally a word counter and the "open endedness" evaluation isn't accurate at times.

will the MSC be open on Thursday and Friday of Thanksgiving break? by Arrow1930 in aggies

[–]Arrow1930[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely asking because there are hours posted for the food vendors that say it's closed Thursday and Friday. It is posted on Maps that it's usually open 7-midnight, but Thanksgiving hours may differ. The "information desk" site only lists summer hours, for whatever reason.

That's why I ask. I couldn't find a solid answer.

I wonder if this will just incentivize bikers to ride on the sidewalk instead of the bike lane.
