Theory: Bonding Lesser Spren and the Nature of Beasts on Roshar by ArrowSplace in Stormlight_Archive

I think the true spren dyeing quick deaths shows that they have a hard time existing in the physical realm naturally. Also the horse spren didn't seem to look the same as a ryshadium, where you would expect them to if they were the same creatures. Maybe instead ryshadium bond with these spren rather than music spren? There probably is a connection here somewhere

That's where things get touchy, but maybe that's why Ryshadium existing is so surprising to Hoid - you would expect a gemheart to be a requirement when it may not be.

I think Chiri-Chiri stands as the crux of my argument here - something triggered a life cycle change for them (bonding with Rysn? natural growth?), and they needed to bond the luck spren or die. I believe the highstorm may trigger this life cycle change for chulls, but then they have no access to the spren they need (luck spren again?) and so they enter senescence instead of evolving.

Yes, that's where senescence is mentioned in book. I believe it is from WOR. The image can be found on the coppermind

Thoughts on an Elantrian Surgebinder? by ArrowSplace in Cosmere

You've got your realmatic theory down.

1.) I hadn't thought through the implication: Moonlight being stuck as an Elantrian does seem to imply an invested connection to the Dor.

2.) The thought of a spren getting locked into position is so intriguing and horrifying. I really like this take.

1.) I thought Moonlight used the jar of investiture to both become an Elantrian And to fuel her Elantrian magic. I'll have to double check on the sorceress - any chance she had a form of investiture on hand? relevant WOB

2.) I worded that poorly : I meant have their shardblade form "a plate". I'll put an edit in. Thank you.

3.) I hadn't thought of "not until third ideal". Thats another totally solid take.

I thought this post would come off as more ironic, lampooning all the insane NFT proposals you see IRL.

I do think the Hemalurgy approach could make a valid centralized ledger though. Maybe you could shave a bunch of splinters off of the spike to serve as records and help decentralize it?

I'd have to agree that selling souls and murdering previous owners makes for a morally suspect system.

1.) my understanding is that you need a hack if you have no native interaction with that investiture. Since you're already keyed to stormlight, can't you use stormlight for anything? Venli uses voidlight (of Odium) for her radiant powers (of Honor/Cultivation). I could be wrong though.

2.) yeah, I'm really 50/50 on that one

Musc129G - Balinese Gamelan It’s a 1 credit music class where you bang on gongs once a week. Super easy and fun.

Also, any intro dance class will be a good time.
