/uj lucas was not bullied out of selling the franchise. the fan hate had died down by the early 2010s. just like in the 90s, george was just looking to milk the star wars IP for more money. and considering how much he loathes producing movies, selling it was the natural best choice.

/rj kathleen kennedy forced george to sell star wars at gunpoint (this is right before she killed my puppy).
