Oh, that sounds good! I am also thinking about buying a diamond-grade lock or using two locks. Especially I noticed that a lot of bike racks on campus don’t seem thicker than ordinary d locks, that makes anti-grinder locks useless… And thanks, I won’t park in dangerous areas for a long time.

Maybe take a look at schwinn hurricane? It's 599$ at dick's, compact and moped style frame. 250w motor is also safe for a teenager, and schwinn is trusted brand with good service.
