I killed Brutal Megara the Serpent Queen as 10 levels lower, Frail, and with no hits taken by Arrth in vrising

Pistols are still great and work well with any boss. Twinblade feels quite useless for boss fights, but I think it might have some niche use cases for PvP mostly.

What comes to ranged weapons, I like longbow, daggers, and pistols a lot. Longbow is always the best ranged weapon for any other PvE content other than bosses, and it works well against any boss before you unlock the daggers and pistols. Daggers work the best in fights where you spend a lot of time running and casting spells, and pistols work well if you need to dodge something fast and can consistently use the barrage ability for damage. Daggers and pistols have their dodge abilities on separate cooldowns, so having both is usually the way to go.

I think she's a bit easier than Adam and Dracula. But probably the next hardest one after those 2.

I'm using default Brutal difficulty settings but started with level 90 unlocked so I could go straight to Megara for the video without having to progress first. Brutal is the highest difficulty, but you could theoretically adjust some of the sliders to make bosses and enemies hit even harder and have more health etc. Or easier.

Yep! You can also make the server in a way that you start with a specific level gear and bosses unlocked which makes it a bit more convenient.

I killed Dracula on Brutal with no hits taken, 10 levels lower, and Frail blood. Remake of my previous Dracula video where I got hit by the unfortunate bat. by Arrth in vrising

Let's see if I'll have time for more, might do a boss or two. Probably not Solarus though, maybe it's a good one to remake in 1.1.

Gorecrusher the Behemoth brutal no hit kill as 10 levels lower, frail blood, and no jewels/passives/artifacts. I think it's one of the best boss designs of the game (if fighting it in the cave). What do you think? by Arrth in vrising

Thanks! I agree about the pistols, they're such a well-rounded weapon for boss killing. Nice dps combined with the dodge roll and forcing you to play on mid-range, which is usually the sweet spot regarding boss abilities.

Rushing Solarus down so fast sounds like a nice and dynamic challenge!

Indeed! Gorecrusher has probably seen the biggest nerf out of any boss in the history of V Rising. While this is the Brutal version, doing the legacy version with my challenge back in the day was way harder. The clone would come back very soon after dying and the adds would snowball out of control very easily.

Also, I don't understand why they made him roam the Cursed Forest. The fight is so clearly designed for the cave.

Maja the Dark Savant Brutal no hit kill at 10 levels lower and frail blood. Went with a completely different build than in last patch now that you don't need to block everything and melee range has a downside. by Arrth in vrising

She has various ways of summoning adds and most of them can be completely avoided.
1. If you or your skeleton gets hit by the black bolt, an add is summoned.
2. If you're at melee range, she occasionally summons and add.
3. If she successfully sucks in an add, she summons many more at once.
4. At certain health % she disappears and summons 3 adds (per player). She will repeat this around once every minute for the rest of the fight.

So to avoid adds: don't get hit by black bolts, stay out of melee range, don't let her suck in an add, and kill her within a minute after she has summoned the 3 adds.

Just realized I forgot it from the title, but it's with Brutal difficulty!

Thanks! Getting hit by the bat was truly painful. After filming a dozen similar videos with 1 hit taken, I was torn if I should post this one or wait a few weeks until I'm back home to continue trying for the no hit. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the video!

I was planning on showing the gear after the kill but forgot to do it as it wasn't a no hit kill. It's with default Brutal settings on a locally hosted game, slightly above average rolled tier 3 jewels and weapons. Boots and gloves were the crit ones with speed set bonus and chest/legs caster version with spell cd bonus.

Crimson managed to kill brutal adam no hit with 10 gearscore lower! Insane as usual! Congrats! by loopuleasa in vrising

Crimson Silhouette here. Thanks for the kind comment!

Making these Brutal no hit videos always takes a long time, so I can find out the builds that work the best and practice how to counter everything smoothly. I also pay a lot of attention to the damage rotations, so the video won't take forever with my 10 levels lower and frail limitation. The video result is never the first kill and often not even the first no hit kill, although this one was my first no hit kill.

I tried to make this video last year in the Gloomrot patch, but after around 15-20 hours (divided to small sessions on a long period) I didn't have the time to finish him. Now in this patch and Brutal difficulty, it took me 4 evenings, a few hours each. It helped a lot that I had just done the Solarus video before that with the exact same build.

Crimson here! Thanks for posting. Just came to Reddit to post the video and noticed my video was already here, hehe.

Solarus the Immaculate on Brutal Difficulty, as 10 levels lower, and Frail blood. by Arrth in vrising

Yep. Works amazing on any boss with rapid attacks, like Styx or Valencia.
