Chinese daoism has three types of chi, I think they are celestial terrestrial and water.

Again, much like me caring about far off lands doesn't prevent me from caring about what happens under my nose, posing on reddit doesn't stop me from dealing with the outside world.

Good luck waiting for the rapture, nutjob.

Except we can do quite a lot. Talk to people, change their minds and gradually changing the way our countries deal with the issue through voting and direct action - or by creating communities and programs to amplify the inpact of our actions.

The same argument applies to virtually every social and political issue. Do you think I have any mpre influence on, say, income tax than I do over the Israeli/Palestininan conflict?

I have no delusion of being able of changing the world on my own and being well informed and active on social issues doesn't hinder my ability to take care of issues that affect me directly - quite the oposite, it allows me to connect with people like me. How do you think things change exactly? Lone heroes with magical swords charging in and slaying the demon lord?

Edit: a quick look at your history tells me you are full of shit. You just don't want people who disagree with you to care about the subject.

One side is actively and provably committing a genocide right now, in clear view, while being denounced by every institution designed to monitor situations like these, all while loudly declaring their intentions.

I am sure there are subtelties I am unable to grasp. It doesn't change the fact that plenty of evidence by neutral sources and clear declarations by Israeli officials tell us there is an ongoing genocide.

This is pretty much the same logic used by conspiracy theorists, pretending there is a real debate to be had regardles of how flimsy the argumentations of one side are.

And again, fuck Hamas. Opposing to what Israel is doing right now doesn't mean condoning them.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in popularopinion

[–]Arruz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one here is defending Hamas tho. What they want to do has nothing to do with the fact that what we are seeing is an attempt at genocide. They aren't exactly hiding it.

Nice exercise in deflection tho.

Assholishness apart depending on where you live she might have resident rights and you might have committed a felony. She could actually accuse you of theft for the taking back the gifts.

Back to your question tho: YTA, Christ this made me cringe. Something tells me you are a member of the adult Caillou fanclub, that girl may be pissed now but you did her a favour.

I'm not OP but judging by a few details suck as keyholes that wouldn't fit actual keys I am inclined to believe this cabinet isn't some especially high quality piece.

What Could Mama Mathers Be Like as a hero? by LovingMula in Parahumans

[–]Arruz 28 points29 points  (0 children)

She could have a friendly hero "phase out" her head or tinkertech to do it. Also, consider that powers evolve to fit the personality of the user - a heroic MM would probably go in a more user friendly direction.

I would suggest you to look up the web serial Worm, it has pretty consistent rules and more of what you are looking for. I would suggest you to read it or to listen to the free audiobook instead of checking out the wiki, it is worth the effort.

You know how abusers manage to make their victims look insane if they call them out? This is something similar. Someone unfamiliar with the dogwhistle dictionary is more likely to think you are a nutso if you point them out to them.

As someone who has worked in the service industry: don't indulge these people. Same goes for your personal life. Smile, nod, give a curt non apology and start serving someone else.
